Radioactive levels and radiological hazard assessment associated with exposure to radionuclides from uranium tailings were investigated in this study. Herein, the concentrations of 238U, 226Ra, 232Th, 40K 36 samples including 25 soil 11 water measured using a low background HPGe semiconductor detector. The radionuclide much lower outside reservoir than inside reservoir; however, both exceeded national average world values. mean higher WHO guideline levels. transfer factors showed that enter...

Abstract Mineralogical study showed that the Yuejin uranium ore is from a low grade, high carbonate and pyrite sandstone type deposit. Uranium leaching rate, speciation of leachate, kinetics precipitation analysis were investigated under conditions different acidity, liquid–solid ratio H 2 O concentration. The test results weak acid process can be used to develop deposits, however, because content pyrite, other oxidants except concentration need considered.

Uranium (U) mining activities, which lead to contamination in soils and waters (i.e., leachate from U mill tailings), cause serious environmental problems. However, limited research works have been conducted on pollution associated with a whole soil-water system. In this study, total of 110 samples including 96 solid 14 water were collected investigate the characteristics distribution natural system near tailings pond. Results showed that concentrations ranged 0.09 ± 0.02 mg/kg 2.56 × 104±...

Geochemical characterization studies and batch leaching experiments were conducted to explore the effects of a CO2 + O2 system on uranium (U) recovery from ores obtained an eastern limb Zinda Pir Anticline ore deposit in Pakistan. The mineralogy was identified by Electron Probe Micro-analyzer (EPMA) Scanning Microscope-Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (SEM-EDS), showing that pitchblende is main mineral. XRD also used along with EPMA SEM data. Experimental results indicate U mobility readily...

Bioleaching has lots of advantages compared with traditional heap leaching. In industry, bioleaching uranium is still facing many problems such as site space, high cost production, and limited industrial facilities. this paper, a continued column system been established for leaching certain ore which contains fluoride. The analysis chemical composition shows that the grade 0.208%, lower than other deposits. However, fluoride content (1.8% weight) greater This can be toxic bacteria growth in...

Jiangxi Province is one of the regions where geothermal water widely distributed in China, with discovered 96 hot springs and over 30 thermal boreholes. Eleven samples were collected analyzed for hydrochemical isotopic characteristics to distinguish sources Province, SE-China. Results showed that temperatures varied from 32.0 80.8 °C an average 53.4 dominated compositions are Na-HCO3 type. The hydrogeochemical as well suggest meteoric origin recharge altitudes range 400-995 m. Mixing cold...

Uranium bioleaching has been rapidly developed in China during recent years. However, some problems bioleaching, such as low uranium leaching efficiency for rocks lacking pyrite, remain to be solved. A granite type deposit from southern was selected the study of U with addition pyrite. Experiments using four approaches, including (i) pyrite ores mixing culture, (ii) tiled on surface (iii) no and (iv) without culture were examined this study. Results showed that bacteria can improve...
