Exploring high-activity, low-cost platinum group metal-free (PGM-free) oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalysts to replace precious metal Pt is critical for large-scale fuel cell applications. Owing their wide source, controllable composition, low price, and excellent performance, the PGM-free carbon-based have attracted great interest in academia are expected be an ideal replacement electrocatalysts. In this review, we mainly focus on first introduce ORR mechanisms active site...

In this study, a duplex coating system (LDH-V/SG-Ce) of vanadate-intercalated layered double hydroxide (LDH) and Ce-doped sol-gel (SG) layers was developed for the purpose active corrosion protection aluminum alloy AA2024. ZnAl-LDH film grown in situ on surface an using hydrothermal method intercalated with V2O74- anions as inhibitors, sealed Ce (III)-doped silane technique. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses...

In this study, (3-aminopropyl)-triethoxysilane–modified graphene oxide (GO) composite thin films were synthesized on magnesium alloy AZ31 substrate. The structure, composition, and morphology of silane-GO analyzed. Electrochemical measurements immersion tests showed that coatings provide effective protection for substrates, owing to the good barrier property layered GO, decrease defects GO film surface due silane modification. addition, corrosion product between outer Mg substrate also...

K2Ti2O5 powders were prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Sensors fabricated from the exhibited prominent sensing properties, such as high response value of 70 741, perfect linear in humidity environment below 75% relative humidity, short response/recovery time (34/48 s), hysteresis 14.3%, and good repeatability. The above performances evidenced to be due active action surface potassium ions. These results indicate that have promising applications field.
