A cooperative spin transition behaviour with a wide hysteresis loop (30 K) around 240 K has been observed, for the first time, in salt based on redox active [Ni(dmit)(2)](-), anion and [Fe(sal(2)-trien)](+) crossover cation.
Single crystals of the mixed-valence radical salt [NBu4]2[Ni(dmit)2]7·2CH3CN {ignoring solvent molecules, formula may be written as [NBu4]0.29[Ni(dmit)2]; H2dmit = 4,5-dimercapto-1,3-dithiole-2-thione} were obtained by galvanostatid oxidation [NBu4][Ni(dmit)2] in acetonitrile. The crystal structure this compound has been determined at 118 K X-ray diffraction studies: are triclinic, space group P1 or P(assumed), with Z= 2 and unit-cell dimensions a= 13.425(2), b= 22.791(3), c= 24.183(4)Å, α=...

Three new compounds based on the cationic complex [FeIII(3-R-salEen)2]+ (salEen stands for N-(2-ethylamino)ethyl)-salicylaldimine, R = H, CH3O) with electroactive Ni(dmit)2 species as a counterion (dmit 1,3-dithia-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato) have been synthesized and structurally magnetically characterized. Compound 1 ([Ni(dmit)2][Fe(3-OMe-salEen)2]. CH3OH) shows an apparent hysteresis loop, due to irreversible desolvatation process. 2 ([Ni(dmit)2](NO3)[Fe(salEen)2]2) exhibits gradual...
Two light-induced metastable NO linkage isomers with oxygen-bound (SI) and side-on configuration (SII) of are generated in trans-[RuCl(py)4(NO)][PF6]2·½H2O. Irradiation by light the blue–green spectral range (450–530 nm) leads to population SI. A further irradiation near infrared (920–1100 transfers SI into SII at temperatures below 150 K. The heat release during thermal decay shows that separated from ground state (GS) potential barriers EA(SI) = 0.70(3) eV EA(SII) 0.38(3) eV, energetically...
Films and monoliths containing the spin crossover complex [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)](BF4) (trz = 1,2,4-triazole) as nanoparticles have been obtained. The dispersion consecutive inclusion of Fe in a silica matrix prepared from tetramethoxysilane or tetraethoxysilane afford films with violet colour at room temperature, which turns white above 380 K. This change is reversible. thermochromic behaviour has characterized by measuring magnetic properties together thermogravimetric studies Raman spectroscopy,...
Abstract Three new iron( III ) compounds of formula [Fe(salten)Mepepy][M(dmit) 2 ] · CH 3 CN (M = Ni, Pd, Pt; H salten 4‐azaheptamethylene‐1,7‐bis(salicylideneiminate); Mepepy 1‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐2‐( N ‐methylpyrrol‐2‐yl) ethane; dmit 2– 1,3‐dithiole‐2‐thione‐4,5‐dithiolato) have been synthesised and the crystal structure each compound has solved at different temperatures. The structures consist alternating layers [M(dmit) – units [Fe(salten)Mepepy] cations. In Ni photo‐isomerisation ligand can...
The pressure-temperature phase diagram of the quasi-one-dimensional molecular superconductor TTF [Ni(dmit${)}_{2}$${]}_{2}$ has been carefully determined by ac resistivity measurements up to 14 kbar. Increasing pressures induce electronic transitions between a high-temperature metal and successive, metallic or semimetallic, semiconducting reentrant superconducting ground states. This unusual is compared with that [Pd(dmit${)}_{2}$${]}_{2}$. It discussed in connection ambient-pressure...
Highly conducting films of organic charge-transfer (CT) salts are fabricated by a solution process from the dispersions stabilized poly(vinylpyrrolidone). This method provides general way to obtain nonvolatile cation- and anion-radical with inorganic counter ions. Carrier injection CT semiconductors is investigated using these as electrodes in field-effect transistors. Efficient hole observed not only cation-radical but also pentacene sexithiophene. Electron dominant both types C60,...
Thin films of solvent-free molecule-based magnets [Cp*2Fe]•+[TCNE]•- and V(TCNE)x are grown by chemical vapor deposition on KBr pellets. crystalline magnetically order at 3.7 K. Despite their faceted grain morphology, amorphous. They exhibit field-dependent magnetization hysteresis room temperature.
We present an x-ray study at ambient pressure of the metal complexes TTF(Pd(dmit)2)2 and TTF(Ni(dmit)2)2 as a function temperature. At room temperature one-dimensional (1D) fluctuations are observed under form diffuse lines on patterns. The Ni-derivative exhibits one type scattering which condenses below about 40 K into satellite reflections. Pd-derivative shows two kinds condense reflections, respectively, T1 ≈ 150 T2 105 K. These observations provide evidence charge density wave...
We present and analyse 1H NMR relaxation (T1-1) data of the two-chain organic conductor TTF [Ni(dmit)2]2 as a function temperature magnetic field at ambient pressure. In entire domain studied between 1 300 K, we report important deviations to normal metal Korringa law. show that both T1 dependences can be well understood in terms typical balance 1D uniform field-dependent diffusive spin correlations, which dominate enhancement above 60 K or so, antiferromagnetic fluctuations strongly develop...

The syntheses, structural characterisation, and magnetic spectroscopic properties of three new polymorphs the spin-crossover complex [Fe(sal2-trien)][Ni(dmit)2] are reported. results discussed as a function their intra- intermolecular arrangement. Correlation crystal structures suggest that some torsion angles play significant role in this class compounds. Intermolecular contacts also importance, nature short between molecular species seems to be more crucial than number allowance spin-crossover.
Stabilization of TTF·TCNQ nanoparticles is studied by varying the ionic liquid nature and solvent medium. The best dispersion obtained in an acetonitrile/acetone mixture smaller size using [BMIM][BF4], as a stabilizing liquid. Applications well-dispersed (mean diameter about 35 nm) electrode material organic field-effect transistors are also reported.

Although molecular metals have been known for decades, their insolubility, low vapor pressure, and synthesis routes prevented them from being integrated into electronic devices. We prepared stable colloidal solutions of the organic metal TTF-TCNQ that overcome such difficulties. The contain well-dispersed nanoparticles stabilized by long alkyl chain amines. They afford soluble powders evaporation homogeneous thin films drop-casting. Powders show room temperature conductivities in 0.01-0.1 S...
Thin films of organic metals generally exhibit activated conductivity caused by intergrain conduction barriers. One the few examples thin showing truly metallic character is TTF[Ni(dmit) 2 ] . Films electrodeposited on silicon substrates remain down to 12 K in spite their polycrystalline morphology (see Figure).
