The cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity markedly increased in morphologically “differentiated” mouse neuroblastoma cells induced by dibutyryl AMP, prostaglandin E1 (stimulator of adenylate cyclase) and 4-(3-butoxy-4-methoxybenzyl)-2-imidazolidinone (RO 20-1724, an inhibitor PDE). Initially, RO 20-1724 decreased the PDE about 50% control, but later it activity. All above agents are known to increase endogenous level therefore, differentiated cells, a high correlated well with AMP....
A 60-day feeding trial was conducted to determine the growth performance and expression of insulin-like factor 1 gene (IGF-I gene) in Labeo rohita fingerlings fed with either raw, soaked or fermented sweet potato leaf meal (SPLM) by completely replacing de-oiled rice bran (DORB), following a randomized design. Seven isonitrogenous (30%) isocaloric (1.8 MJ/100 g) diets were prepared DORB 50% 100% meal, maintaining DORB-containing as control. Weight gain %, SGR (specific rate) PER (protein...
A 60-day feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of Houttuynia cordata leaf meal and extract on growth performance, nutrient utilization expression insulin-like factor-I (IGF-I) in Labeo rohita fingerlings. Two hundred seventy fingerlings were randomly distributed six experimental groups triplicates. Six isonitrogenous (350 g/kg CP) isocaloric (17 MJ/kg DE) diets prepared with graded levels (LM) (LE), namely C (control, without LE LM), LE-0.25 (2.5 LE), LE-0.5 (5 LE-1.0 (10...
One thousand and eighty rohu fingerlings with an average size of 8.5 ± 0.5 g were randomly distributed in 6 distinct experimental groups triplicates, where the first three exposed to high stocking density (HSD; 20 nos/ 75 L water) restricted feeding (RF), viz. THR0 (HSD, RF, 0% nutraceutical), THR1 0.1% nutraceutical) THR5 0.5% second normal (NSD; 10 nos /75 satiation (SF) designated as TNS0 (NSD, SF, TNS1 TNS5 nutraceutical). The weight gain (WG) %, specific growth rate (SGR), protein...
A 60-day feeding trial was conducted to optimize the inclusion level of de-oiled rice bran (DORB) in diet Labeo rohita fingerlings. Six iso-nitrogenous (260g/kg), iso-lipidic (70g/kg) and iso-energetic (15 MJ/Kg) diets were prepared with different DORB viz., T33, T38, T43, T48, T53 T58. One hundred eighty fingerlings (9.8 ± 0.5 g) randomly distributed seven experimental groups triplicates following a completely randomized design. The weight gain %, specific growth rate, protein efficiency...
A 60-day feeding trail was conducted to determine the effect of dietary zinc level and temperature on growth antioxidant enzyme in Pangasianodon hypophthalmus. The six distinct treatment groups were fed with diets prepared different levels (16, 32 48 mg/kg respectively) two like 34ËšC ambient temperature. After 60 days experimental trial, parameters percent weight gain, FCR, PER, SGR enzymes Superoxide Dismutase–I Catalase studied. In T3 group inclusion showed maximum compared other groups....
Pulses play a vital role in providing nutrition to billions of individuals globally. Improving yield the urdbean faces significant challenge due its narrow genetic base and limited exploitable variation. This research explores variability, heritability, advance among 111 diverse lines urdbean. 27 lines, three testers, Eighty-one F1 hybrids were grown Randomized Block Design (RBD) with replications during Kharif 2023 at Crop Experimental Research Farm Chandra Shekhar Azad University...
A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of foliar nutrition on Yield attributes and yield rice fallow Cow pea at College Of Agricultural Technology, Kullapuram, Theni, during summer 2018. These treatments consist different organic inorganic nutrition’s were applied. Results revealed that viz., seeds per pod, number pods plant, pod length 100 seed weight, bhusa noticed in cowpea due application recommended NPKS + 2% DAP Seaweed Liquid Fertilizer (T6) compared rest treatments.
The length-weight relationships of five fishes: Mystus tengara, bleekeri, Ailia coila, Aspidoparia jaya, and Cabdio morar Koshi River, Bihar, India, were estimated. study is the first report on LWR these species from Bihar. calculated using formula: Log W = a + b L parameters (“a” “b”), coefficients determination (r2) determined. regression coefficient (b) values are 2.51, 3.38, 1.93, 2.62, 2.63 for specimens, respectively.
