We examine the association between goodwill impairment loss and test-related disclosures in Australia. Using an Australian sample of firm-years with during 2007-12, we find that understated have higher notes vice versa. Abstract This research note explores the incidence, amounts, disclosure and potential sources of bargain purchase gains reported by an Australian sample firms during 2013–15. It finds that 7.58% acquirers this period. The median gain as a percentage consideration transferred was 18.90%.
