Various human activities have been the main causes of surface water pollution. The uneven distribution industrial enterprises in territories river basins Ukraine do not always allow real state quality to be assessed. This article has three purposes: (1) modification Ukrainian method for assessing WQI, taking into account level negative impact most dangerous chemical elements, (2) modeling WQI assessment using fuzzy logic and (3) creation an artificial neural network model prediction WQI....
Thioflavin T (ThT) informed microviscosity changes can be used to monitor protein aggregation. Steady-state, time-resolved and lasing spectroscopy were detect transient states in α-synuclein - a associated with Parkinson's disease. The major focus was on the nucleation phase, where conventional ThT fluorescence assay lacks appropriate sensitivity early stage oligomers. Instead, threshold parameters, particular, sensitive detecting Through spectroscopy, change correlating stages of...
A bus seat needs to be designed ergonomically for better seating comfort. The present study is intended develop a cost-effective ergonomic design based on comfort and safety demands. As part of the proposed procedure, analysis, identifying preferred features, developing are included. An analysis back pan profiles was conducted. Based results authors identified features seats during identification process. improved prototype developed selected in development stage. Seating analyses were used...
The coherence length of the Frenkel excitons (Ncoh) is one most critical parameters governing many key features supramolecular J-aggregates. Determining experimentally value Ncoh a nontrivial task since it sensitive to technique/method applied, causing discrepancies in literature data even for same chemical compound and aggregation conditions. By using combination different experimental techniques including UV-vis-NIR, fluorescence emission, time-resolved photoluminescence, transient...
CO2 emission limits introduced by the European Union are encouraging works on new-generation materials with reduced clinker content. Currently, fumed silica from hard coal combustion is used in cement and concrete technology Europe Poland. Its wide application depends mainly its chemical phase composition, especially reactivity of pozzolanic acids high fineness similar to Many authors studied influence fly ashes combustion, accordance PN-EN 450-1 450-2, properties concrete, including course...
The lasing characteristics of Thioflavin T (ThT) and X (ThX) dyes were investigated in solvents with increasing viscosity: water, ethanol, butanol, ethylene glycol, glycerol three forms DNA (double-helix natural, fragmented, aggregated). results identified that thresholds photostability depend on critical factors: the solvation shell surrounding dye molecules, organization their dipole moments, which is driven by structure, molecules diffusion coefficient excitation focal spot. research...
This article presents a modular control system used in Eco-HAB experimentation system. Features specific to the solution are covered. Control is described details. The architecture outlined context of requirements be met. Modes utilization implantable device, time synchronization, localization service and antenna driving oscillation fine-tuning as well preliminary experiments preparation described.
Technical system (TS) models are widely used for setting and solving problems the improvement of biomedical engineering systems beyond simple parameter optimisation. They mostly focus on elements, change or replacement which can provide significant technical economic benefits. The natures TS their methods construction vary, but they all share several common features: a functional approach, conflicting demands put particular elements interactions, that assume significance those conflicts....
The research described here aims at a design and fabrication of light emitting module for mobile optogenetic device animals that are freely moving in the IntelliCage system cages. is designed to stimulate selected brain areas animal with light. approach based on LED chip attached tip cannula which will be directly implanted into mouse’s brain. has been fabricated tested laboratory. In addition, we have observed effect slice mice tissue vitro stimulated our implants.
In this article there is presented an implementation of control system for the extended experiments involving both advanced functionalities home-cage environments and optogenetic mechanisms. The issues associated with from perspective are shown. introduced novel mechanisms developed discussed. Exemplary upcoming utilization presented.
We present a set of novel optogenetic devices for mice freely moving in cages. The purpose the is to stimulate specific brain regions using light. we have constructed consist an electrical connector, cannula and micro- LED chip operating at 470 nm as light source delivering into stimulated region mouse brain. also demonstrated conversion from 590 by applying silicate orange phosphor directly chip. measured efficiency approximately 80% ZIP595I phosphor. discuss properties various forms...
The research aims to design and manufacture of wireless optogenetics devices for freely moving animals in cages IntelliCage system. purpose the device is stimulate specific brain regions using light. constructed consists a light source optical fibre structure responsible delivering into corresponding region animal. size animal (mouse) fact that it imposes substantial limitations with respect weight optoelectronic device. present paper describes on fabrication, assembling small (less than 500...
In this paper, we report on fabrication and optical properties of hollow poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) microspheres loaded with CdSe/CdS core-shell quantum dots. The PMMA were fabricated using a spray-drying method investigated scanning electron microscopy, confocal fluorescent lifetime imaging microscopy. Micro-photoluminescence studies individual also performed revealing pronounced whispering gallery modes. This result demonstrates the high quality their potential application as microresonators.
The possibility of light auto-channelling (self-trapping) in conditions streamer discharge hexagonal and cubic semiconductors was shown. It is considered the mechanism wide-gap compounds on basis representation about at excitation, providing their high propagation velocity down to ~510 9 cm/s, crystallographic orientation (directionality), filamentary character thickness channel 1 μm absence catastrophic destructions a crystal.
Recent results on development and characterization of WGM spherical microcavities integrated with organic dye molecules in a J-aggregate state are presented. The studied using micro-photoluminescence spectroscopy, fluorescence lifetime imaging confocal microscopy. Directional emission light from the microcavity is also experimentally demonstrated attributed to photonic jets generated microsphere.
