The objective of this study is to improve the heat transfer characteristics PCM storage unit, applicable solar still system, using hollow cylindrical pin fins embedded in PCM. Hollow act as thermal conductivity enhancer (TCE). In view this, three cases are considered namely, Case 1: without (conventional still), 2: with PCM, 3: sink performance experimentally evaluated and compared each other under same climate conditions. results revealed that presence negatively affects daytime freshwater...

Abstract Hydrogen was produced by methane pyrolysis in a molten‐metal bubble column reactor. The proposed reactor improves heat transfer to the reactant gas and allows separation of solid carbon due density difference between molten metal carbon. effects temperature type on process were studied. kinetic parameters estimated using semi‐numerical model two reactors series developed for system. Molten tin, as reaction medium, showed improved compared those conventional tubular Tin‐copper...

A combination of a gliding arc discharge and spouted catalytic bed was used to investigate plasma–catalytic hybrid system using CH 4 reforming as model reaction. Alumina-supported catalysts that contained 0.5 wt% Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru (denoted Pt/Al 2 O 3 , Pd/Al Rh/Al Ru/Al respectively) were used. For comparison, active Al particles also examined. The conversion the selectivity product investigated by changing feed flow rate reaction time. production C H soot observed in without catalyst. Using...

A dielectric barrier discharge plasma was used for surface treatment of lemon peel, followed by steam distillation, to enhance essential oil extraction. The effects peel on yield and composition were investigated. improved treatment. Limonene, γ‐terpinene, β‐pinene identified from the extracted oil; concentrations these compounds significantly decreased O 2 , N air treatments, slightly Ar Microscopic observations showed that damaged discharge, some bled glands. It concluded extraction...

Cardiovascular system abnormalities can result in serious health complications. By using the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) procedure, a comprehensive realistic approach be employed to accurately investigate blood flow coupled with arterial wall response. The hemodynamics was investigated both coronary and carotid arteries based on estimated numerical simulation of three-dimensional non-Newtonian model elastic rigid arteries. For stenotic right artery (RCA), it found that maximum value...

The hydroxylation behaviour of benzene and toluene were studied using a micro-plasma reactor, where an atmospheric non-thermal plasma was generated by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). results indicated that oxidation products primarily consisted phenol C4-compounds for hydroxylation, whereas cresol, benzaldehyde, benzylalcohol detected hydroxylation. By taking into consideration the reaction mechanism in these classified (1) aromatic ring functional group on (2) cleavage or dissociation ring.
