The nucleation and growth kinetics of highly ordered gold nanocrystal superlattices during the evaporation colloidal droplets was elucidated by in situ time-resolved small-angle x-ray scattering. We demonstrated for first time that rate can affect dimensionality superlattices. formation two-dimensional at liquid-air interface droplet has exponential originates from crushing.

In order to study and forecast extreme weather, a comprehensive systematic analysis of the spatial temporal relationship between Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV), predicted by Numerical Weather Predication (NWP) data, precipitation, is necessary. The goal this paper was PWV precipitation during so-called ‘July 20’ (18–21 July 2021) heavy rainstorm in Zhengzhou. Firstly, data provided 120 radiosonde stations uniformly distributed throughout world, two IGS China, 2020, used evaluate accuracy...

X-ray in-line phase-contrast imaging along with a single-image phase retrieval reconstruction was used to visualize the near-nozzle breakup of optically dense water jets atomized by high-speed, annular air flow. The influence atomizing on mass distribution investigated reveal complex air/liquid interactions at various stages. Unlike low-Weber-number jets, high-Weber-number can occur in liquid core, which causes sudden decreases volume fraction.

The increasing marine activities in Arctic area have brought growing interest ship-iceberg collision study. purpose of this paper is to study the iceberg geometry shape effect on process. In order estimate sensitivity parameter, five different models and two material are adopted analysis. FEM numerical simulation used predict scenario related responses. results including energy dissipation impact force investigated compared. It shown that process more sensitive local than other factors when...

Coupling–diffusive effects on thermosolutal buoyancy convection with Soret and Dufour in a horizontal cavity are investigated numerically. The problem is formulated using coupling–diffusive model for solved by the SIMPLE algorithm QUICK scheme nonuniform staggered grid system. results show that thermal solutal primarily dominate structure of velocity field inflexion points flow pattern transform as Rayleigh number or ratio increases. parametric study shows heat mass transfer enhanced have...

This account briefly summarizes our research on the synthesis of nanocrystals a host materials from metal chloride precursors via atmospheric pressure chemical vapour deposition (APCVD). Successful various sulfides, oxides, silicides, and metals, demonstrates chlorides as useful for nanoscience nanotechnology. Oxide-assisted growth (OAG) is found to dominate formation lot sulfide nanowire/nanosheets. Our hypotheses geometrically kinetic competition interaction between silica sheath inner...

We demonstrate that the wetting behavior of a thin liquid film, poly(4-bromostyrene) (PBrS), on top solid substrate may be effectively controlled with insertion secondary poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P4VP), underneath primary film. This film remains stable under all conditions, and can viewed as an extension itself. On basis results from X-ray standing waves generated via total external reflection mirror, time-of-flight ion mass spectroscopy, optical microscopy, atomic force we construct full...

A three-dimensional numerical model based on nonequilibrium thermal effect for direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) with a moving beam is developed. The effects of surface tension, buoyancy force, and permeability as well volume shrinkage are taken into account. discretized by the finite method solved numerically using SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Method Pressure Linked Equations) algorithm power-law scheme in staggered mesh. temperature distribution shapes top liquid–mushy mushy–solid interfaces...

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis is used to numerically study the structure and dynamics of a high-pressure, high-speed jet gas/liquid mixture through gaseous medium close nozzle region. The complex near region captured before it breaks-up downstream. A new multiphase model based on formulation conservation laws for flows in simulation. does not require ad-hoc closure variation density with pressure yields thermodynamically accurate acoustic propagation mixtures. numerical has...
