Limited scientific evidence on the effectiveness of psychiatric service dogs used by Veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is available. This study investigated their short-term among 15 Canadian veterans who received a first dog. Preliminary results suggest potential beneficial effects at 3 months symptoms.
