Until now, sea fog monitoring relied mainly on point equipment, such as a forward scatter visibility sensor mounted the shore or an island, which produce non-ideal data during variable and unevenly distributed fog. In 2019, lidar instrument for was installed in Beilun area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, China. Two events were monitored February 2020, from compared with those sensor. The results show that is advantageous monitoring, correlation demonstrates utility potential detection.
