This study records the difference of interspecific and intracolonial pigmentation on second metasomal tergum S. septentrionalis for first time. Differentiation in pattern was achieved using CorelDraw software. Three out five colonies studied presented reddish tergum, also differentiation colour intensity among castes were found colonies. new finding contributes an improved understanding differentiating species from this genus.
