Abstract Prostate imaging with 18 F-labeled 1-amino-3-fluorocyclobutane-1-carboxylic acid (FACBC, F-fluciclovine) PET/CT scan (Axumin) was recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for men suspected prostate cancer recurrence based on elevated blood prostate-specific antigen levels following prior treatment. We present a rare case of 77-year-old man recurrent an incidental finding advanced-stage breast showing different degrees F-fluciclovine uptake.
Blunt traumatic abdominal wall hernias (TAWHs) are rare but require a variety of operative techniques to repair including bone anchor fixation (BAF) when tissue tears off bony structures. This study aimed provide descriptive analysis BAF technique for blunt TAWH repair. Bone and no repairs were compared, hypothesizing increased hernia recurrence with
Coronary subclavian steal syndrome is an uncommon complication occurring in patients with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). We describe a case of 69-year-old male remote history CABG who presented exertional left arm pain and angina. Computed Tomographic Angiography the chest demonstrated severe proximal stenosis. The demonstrates successful application atherectomy use embolic protective device, alleviating need stent, for treatment patient CABG.
We report a case of 26-year-old male who was diagnosed with metastatic desmoplastic small round cell tumor initially treated systemic chemotherapy followed by debulking and hyperthermic intra-peritoneal chemotherapy. The patient in complete remission clinical imaging criteria for 11 months, until he developed bi-lobar hepatic disease, which successfully selective internal radiation therapy Yttrium-90. demonstrated liver-specific response on follow-up obtained 18 months after the procedure.
