Feline mammary carcinoma (FMC) is similar to human breast cancer in the late age of onset, incidence, histopathologic features, biological behavior, and pattern metastasis. Therefore, FMC has been proposed as a relevant model for aggressive cancer. The goals this study were develop nude mouse tumor growth metastasis measure expression genes responsible lymphangiogenesis, angiogenesis, progression, lymph node tissues cell lines. Two primary injected subcutaneously, 6 lines into 3 sites...
Summary A mycotic infection by Histoplasma farciminosum was diagnosed as the cause of granulomatous lesions related to lachrymal apparatus donkeys in Egypt. full clinical description lesion, together with results conservative and surgical treatment trials are given. Microbiological histopathological studies lesion confirmed incrimination microorganism. Experimental inoculation mice tissue material gave which discussed. The developed transient lesions. Zusammenfassung Eine Studie eines...
Secondary iodine deficiency was experimentally produced in growing male lambs by oral administration of 50 mg/kg bodyweight Thiourea daily for 3.5 months. At the end experiment animals became weak, emaciated, anaemic, significantly reduced body weight with facial oedema and alopecia at thigh, legs abdomen. The clinical analysis showed significant reduction erythrocyte leucocyte numbers levels triiodothyronine testosterone experiment. histopathological picture thyroid gland revealed...
The pathogenesis is described of renal lesions which developed in 1-day-old chicks fed a ration containing 10% sodium chloride for 25 successive days. gross are described. Microscopically the kidneys showed that nephrosis and glomerular changes were very prominent. These included hypertrophy, formation epithelial crescents, fibrous adhesions, lobularity, shrinkage collapse tuft thickening basement membrane capillary tuft. Segmental hyalinosis was also sometimes observed.
Summary A study was made on the pathological conditions in fallopian tubes of 110 ewes from a slaughterhouse. Seventeen showed lesions tubes. There were tubo-ovarian fibrous adhesions five ewes, acute and chronic salpingitis six, hydrosalpinx two, segmental aplasia one paraovarian cysts three ewes. Zusammenfassung Pathologisch-anatomische Eileiteruntersuchungen bei Schafen Von wurden die Eileiter (Schlachthofmaterial) pathologisch-anatomisch untersucht. Bei 17 Tieren Läsionen gefunden,...
A disease affecting domestic pigeons characterised by marked contagiousness, high mortality and rapidly progressing paralysis of the extremities is reported. Gross microscopical findings in naturally affected are given. viral agent was isolated found to be a herpesvirus. Reproduction with virus its reisolation suggests it may causally related condition.
During necropsy of 1248 adult chickens, 126 non-leukotic neoplasms were diagnosed as follows: 83 (65.9%) peritoneal carcinomatosis, 24 (19.0%) myxosarcomas, 17 (13.5%) leiomyomas, and 2 (1.6%) haemangiopericytomas. In addition, three tumours in pigeons found to be basal cell carcinomas. Haemangiopericytomas chickens carcinomas are recorded here for the first time. The ovarian origin designated is confirmed discussed.
Of 100 uteri of ewes collected from a slaughterhouse, 44 had endometritis. These cases were classified as acute endometritis (18%), lymphocytic (59%), chronic non-suppurative (16%) and suppurative (6.8%). Aerobic bacteria isolated 26 uteri. The most commonly Escherichia coli, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus. organisms then inoculated into the normal ewes. None consistently produced any particular type endometrial lesion.
This experimental study was carried out on nine adult rams. Rams were injected intravenously with Escherichia coli endotoxin serotype 055:B5. The regimen of injections is described fully. Blood and semen samples collected periodically to evaluate the changes in blood picture. reproductive as well visceral organs examined macroscopically microscopically. results revealed that sperm cell abnormalities serum testosterone level increased, acrosomal significantly increased. total leucocytic count...
The occurrence of unusual cases generalised, tumour-like cutaneous swellings in 2-3-month-old chickens, from which A. flavus or C. albicans could be isolated, is described. Histologically similar but clinically different lesions produced experimentally 1-month-old chickens by intradermal inoculation alone combined with albicans. latter organism failed, however, to produce the same route inoculation. Intracardiac into age resulted a systemic infection, including nervous tissue, without...
Summary The occurrence of reproductive disturbances in a flock laying hens dipped high concentration Diazinon suggested study the effect this insecticide on gonads fowl. levels gonadotrophic, thyrotrophic and adrenocorticotrophic hormones pituitary serum treated were significantly lower than control birds. A causal relationship between these low extensive retrogressive changes observed grossly microscopically ovaries is suggested. In contrast, cocks similar manner showed no changes....
The endometrial necropsies of 165 she donkeys were examined and the endometria classified into four grades according to histological features (I, IIa, IIb, III). Category I was observed in 86 cases (52.12%) diagnosed as normal endometria. IIa 18 (10.91%) slight endometritis. IIb 28 (16.97%) moderate endometritis (two nests/field), while category III 33 (20%) severe (eight nests/field). A bacteriological examination carried out oestrogen progesterone estimated. Our results indicate that...
SUMMARY (1) Male castrated rats (testosterone‐free) inoculated intraperitoneally with Staph, aureus showed severe damage in their internal organs as determined by pathological examination of the killed animals. (2) Penicillin‐G, oxytetracycline and chloramphenicol treatment 24 h after injection markedly decreased extent damage. (3) Pretreatment testosterone propionate for 3 successive days before infection had a protective influence on organs. (4) Testosterone‐injected when treated different...
Summary The possible mechanisms by which oxytocin and hysterectomy control development involution of the corpora lutea rabbits were studied. It was found that degenerative changes leading to corpus luteum are not a result merely time but appear be an imbalance between luteotropic luteolytic factor reaching ovary via blood. In activity pitocin is achieved decreasing blood supply stimulating formation white fibrous connective tissue. This results in degeneration luteal cells. action mediated...
