Prevalence of microplastics (MPs) throughout the world's oceans has raised growing concerns due to its detrimental effects on environment and living organisms. Most recent studies MPs, however, have focused estuaries coastal regions. There is a lack study MPs pollution in open ocean. In present study, we conducted field observations investigate abundance, spatial distribution, characteristics (composite, size, color, shape surface morphology) at Northwestern Pacific Ocean. Samples were...
Organic dye degradation was achieved via direct oxidation by bismuth silver oxide coupled with visible light photocatalysis sodium bismuthate. Crystal violet decomposition each reagent proceeded two distinct pathways, involving different active oxygen species. A comparison of treatment method alone and in combination demonstrated that using the combined methods sequence a higher degree degradation, especially mineralization, than obtained either alone. In process acts as pretreatment to...
Zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) have the advantages of environmental friendliness, safety, and simple assembly strong application potential in field energy storage. In this work, an amorphous carbon-loaded V2O3 (V2O3@AC) material is prepared by calcination used as a cathode for ZIBs. The V2O3@AC has excellent stability long life, which maintains 94.8 90.7% capacity retention after 180 cycles at 0.1 A g–1 1600 1 g–1, respectively. By scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characterization, composed...
The marine environment is facing the threat of increasing plastic pollution, especially from disposable plastics. Presently, governments worldwide are promoting policies to restrict or prohibit conventional As one hopeful alternative disposable/non-durable plastics, biodegradable plastics have attracted much attention and controversy in terms their definition, environmental impact, significance, as they may be widely used. Therefore, it necessary clarify facts about understand current...
Microwave-assisted photocatalytic (MAPC) degradation of atrazine over nanotitania coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (TiO2/MWCNTs) was investigated in this study. As a result, efficiency TiO2/CNTs prepared by hydrothermal method about 30% and 20% higher than that titania P25 anatase hydrothermally given time. The composite samples were characterized TGA-DSC, TEM, UV−vis DRS, XRD BET, to explain the reason for efficient adsorption process atrazine. Microwave thermal effect also investigated....
