The main purpose of our paper is to document genus Hydropsyche (Trichoptera: Hydropsychidae) in northwestern Algeria and provide the larval descriptions species set. Larvae, pupae, imagines were collected from 14 sampling sites over a five-year period (2014–2019). Eight have been identified, with siltalai being new record for North Africa, pellucidula Algeria. A comparison checklist those Moroccan Rif Europe provided, as well geographical distribution each species. This Algerian revision...
The caddisfly fauna of Algeria is far from complete. In this study, we present data Trichoptera sampling in northwestern (Tafna and Ghazouana River basins) during 20142019, enhancing knowledge group the country. We were able to identify 30 species 17 genera study area. Among listed taxa, five (Hydroptila fortunata, Ecnomus deceptor, Tinodes waeneri, Limnephilus lunatus, Setodes argentipunctellus,) are new records for Algeria. An updated checklist Algerian includes 63 species. also provide an...
Twelve species of the genus Hydropsyche (Trichoptera) are reported from Maghreb; six in Tunisia, eight Morocco, and eleven Algeria. These three North African countries inhabited by common species, except that H. siltalai has been only Algeria pandiel Morocco. A list known Maghreb is presented a key for identification described larvae provided.
Physical Habitat characterization of black flies was performed in the Tafna Basin Algeria, based primarily on stream size, substrate, and aquatic riparian vegetation. A total 143 samples were taken between April October 2009 at 11 sampling sites catchment. Dams exerted an effect through a slowdown flow sedimentation fine particles, eliminating coarse microhabitats favorable for flies. Stream substrate characteristics are key parameters that determined species. Of 10 species considered, four...
In North Algeria, human activities have dramatically deteriorated the water quality of fresh waters and threatened aquatic ecosystem health. These rare hydrosystems deserve special attention because they are an important source water, supporting local ecological environmental balance in this semi-arid region. To monitor surface two lakes (Sidi M'hamed Benali Lalla Setti), benthic macroinvertebrates, physicochemical parameters heavy metals were studied between May 2017 2018.The results from a...
In the cities of Algeria, Culex pipiens L. (Diptera: Culicidae) is mosquito which presents most interest because its wide geographical distribution and abundance engender a strong nuisance. Besides, role vector virus West Nile arouses particular in Mediterranean Basin. These insects are generally controlled by conventional insecticides for greater part, chemicals cause long term side effects (effects on not aimed bodies resistance species). A research effect bioinsecticide Bacillus...
