One of the most important challenges in management and treatment complex wounds is observation measurement different indicators that can be observed on wound over time. This article will present idea addressing this challenge with use images captured a mobile device. The aim work to evaluate digitization systems field chronic as tools support professional improving patient care decision making, well computer vision artificial intelligence improve assessment. An approach based visual...
Several studies have been conducted to analyze the role social networks play in communication between patients and health professionals. However, there is a shortage of relation among primary professionals, professional context, using various mobile phone apps available. The objective our study was explore networking app use care professionals for work-related purposes, by comparing most widely used market. We undertook cross-sectional an anonymous Web survey convenience sample 1635 during...
This paper analyzes the characteristics of an experimental otolith retrieval system based on image contours described with Elliptical Fourier Descriptors (EFD). Otoliths are found in inner ear fish. Their shape can be analyzed to determine sex, age, populations and species, thus they provide necessary relevant information for ecological studies. The we propose was tested by identifying three different Engraulis encrasicolus from family Engraulidae, Pomadasys incisus Haemulidae, two species...
The interpolation of contour pixels, with splines, an order greater than or equal to two, usually causes oscillations that do not fit the original shape. To overcome this we propose using a least squares filter before carrying out interpolation. This results in good compromise between smoothness curve and best contour. Representing continuous model instead discrete has many advantages for calculations, as example curvature, which involves first second derivatives, well operations are defined...
Otoliths are microcalcifications found in the inner ear of fishes and their shape can be analyzed to determine sex, age, populations species, thus they provide necessary relevant information for ecological environmental studies. This paper compares two different approaches de al with an arbitrary rotation a query image data mining system that classifies fish otoliths from images according needs real application. The proposed this will allow successful use not normalized or positioning than...
A prospective, single-center, non-randomized, pre-marketing clinical investigation was conducted with a single group of subjects to collect skin lesion images. These images were subsequently utilized compare the results obtained from traditional method wound size measurement two novel methods developed using Machine Learning (ML) approaches. Both proposed automatically calculate area an image. One employs two-dimensional system assistance external calibrator, while other utilizes Augmented...
In this work we derive two families of radix-4 factorizations for the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) that have property both inputs and outputs are addressed in natural order. These obtained from another radix-2 algorithms same property. The mathematical complexity (number multiplications additions) Cooley-Tukey but avoid de bit-reversal ordering applied to input or at output.
In this work we present a new method for compacting data from 3D shapes by extracting characteristic curve that call signature. The signature obtained preserves almost all the morphological shape information but drastically reduces number of points required representing shape. Furthermore, based on signature, 2D draws closed contour in plane and can be further compacted using elliptic Fourier descriptors. was developed to with otolith database is currently under construction.
Background: Provision of care to patients with chronic diseases at their homes remains a great challenge for modern health systems. Smartphone applications are indicated as one the strategies that could improve delivery this group patients. The aim study is investigate feasibility and usability proprietary application messaging service used by primary team attending mainly homes. Methods: A Cross-sectional pilot smartphone communicate amongst clinicians. Primary practices in Tona, Spain,...
In many oceanographic studies there is a need to reconstruct signal from set of sparse measurements. We propose an algorithm iteratively approximate the intermediate values between irregularly sampled data, when at coarser scales known. This possible approximation model for multiresolution decomposition/reconstruction scheme dataset. Although problem ill-posed, this approach gives easy interpolate using all information available different resolutions. reconstruction method could be used as...
