This paper examines the impact of climate risks on urban economic resilience, using panel data from Chinese cities between 2009 and 2022. A multidimensional indicator system, encompassing recovery adaptive transformative innovation capacity, is developed to identify how negatively affect resilience. The results show that weaken resilience by reducing population size destabilizing financial systems. Additionally, these have significant spatial spillover effects, extending local areas...
Carbon Contracts for Difference (CCfDs) are considered a promising policy instrument to incentivise energy-intensive industry invest in climate-neutral production processes. Among the different CCfD proposals under discussion, it is unclear which design elements and their respective options shall be considered. In this paper, these suggested discussed by industry, policymakers, research institutes analysed with systematic literature review, along in-depth investigation of proposals. We find...
Green hydrogen deployment is important to reach a deeply decarbonised energy system. To bridge the price gaps between renewable (green) and fossil-based hydrogen, support instruments for green supply are needed. Referring electricity (RES-E) schemes due their positive outcomes similar policy objectives, this paper proposes four instruments, namely feed-in (feed-in tariff premium), investment-based, quota-based schemes. Additionally, required framework conditions, potential risks implications...
