Abstract A limestone cave filled with montmorillonite clay was found in a hill above the karst plateau on north‐eastern edge of Adriatic Sea. The fill shows no correlation sediments surrounding caves or other known Classical Karst, where content is negligible. In caves, primary deposited originate from weathered Eocene flysch and were transported into by sinking streams. Powder X‐ray diffraction analyses indicate pure composition few coarser quartz grains heavy minerals. Based these results...
The article focuses on a specific group of Roman Period finds from Bohemia with mosaic or millefiori enamel decorations. study examines various artefacts, including disc fibulae, balteus fittings, glass beads, and seal box, all identified as Roman-provincial imports. Disc fibulae adorned have been discovered throughout the Barbaricum, notable concentrations in Tisza Elbe river regions. Although circular fittings are less common, recent discoveries expanded their known distribution. Both...
Abstract The study provides a detailed investigation into several representatives of La Tène jewellery. Primarily, it deals with non-metallic decorative inlays from the Late period, particularly their application on metal base. Unique artefacts have been selected for study, all coming Czech Republic and Slovakia. A prime representative finds is torc burial site in Prague (Czech Republic, Central Europe). In this geographical context, such are rather exceptional. examined remarkable both...
A new locality of coarse-grained cryogenic cave carbonates has been found in the Za Hájovnou Cave Javoříčko Karst Central Moravia, Czech Republic. Crystals and crystal aggregates, usually up to 15 mm size, form typical loose accumulations on surface large fallen limestone blocks clays covering bottoms several chambers distant from entrance. The origin is supported by their mode occurrence, specific aggregate morphology, C O stable isotope data. U-series dating one sample carbonate (age 29.5...

We describe an atypical cave network in the Jura mountains (eastern France), currently only one known worldwide to be entirely excavated within a subglacial deposits. Extending over 600 m of mapped galleries, this natural cavity developed large impermeable drumlin shaped during last glacial stage MIS 2 (Wurm). By using lidar topography, petrophysical, sedimentological and geochemical measurements, as well U-Th dating, is mainly attributed mechanical erosion processes (piping cave). The...
