Globally, mental health conditions pose a substantial burden of disease. Despite the availability evidence-based pharmacological and psychological treatments, symptoms subgroup patients do not respond to these interventions, only minority have access them. This study aimed assess efficacy ImPuls, 6-month transdiagnostic group exercise intervention, plus treatment-as-usual, compared with treatment-as-usual alone in outpatients various disorders.
Abstract. The “digit span backwards” (DSB) is the most commonly used test in clinical neuropsychology to assess working memory capacity. Yet, it remains unclear how task solved cognitively. present study was conducted examine use of visual and verbal cognitive strategies DSB. Further, relationship between DSB a complex task, based on Simultaneous Storage Processing ( Oberauer et al., 2003 ), investigated. Visualizers performed better than verbalizers dual condition (r PB = .23) only when...
In recent years the study of intrinsic brain dynamics in a relaxed awake state absence any specific task has gained increasing attention, as spontaneous neural activity been found to be highly structured at large scale. This so called resting-state comprised by nonrandom spatiotemporal patterns and fluctuations, several Resting-State Networks (RSN) have BOLD-fMRI well MEG signal power envelope correlations. The underlying anatomical connectivity structure between areas identified being key...
ABSTRACT Objective Knowledge about transdiagnostic factors associated with global symptom severity among patients diagnosed various mental disorders remains limited. This study examined the cross‐sectional associations between processes including emotion regulation and specific strategies (i.e., amount of physical activity sedentary behaviour, repetitive negative thinking sleep routines) severity, while controlling for sociodemographic data (age, gender, employment status, relationship...
Evidence suggests that patients suffering from different mental disorders benefit exercise programs combined with behavior change techniques. Based on this evidence, we have developed an program (ImPuls) specifically designed to provide additional treatment option in the outpatient health care system. The implementation of such complex into context requires research goes beyond evaluation effectiveness, and includes process evaluation. So far, related interventions has rarely been conducted....
Mental disorders are prevalent and cause considerable burden of disease. Exercise has been shown to be efficacious treat major depressive disorders, insomnia, panic disorder with without agoraphobia post traumatic stress (PTSD).This pragmatic, two arm, multi-site randomised controlled trial will evaluate the efficacy cost-effectiveness manualized, group-based six-months exercise intervention "ImPuls", among physically inactive patients disorder, PTSD within a naturalistic outpatient context...
It remains unknown whether mirror reading represents a genuine text processing skill or is based on recognition of visual patterns. The present study attempts to determine (1) systematic practice with particular mirrored typography also improves performance for other typographies, and (2) this transfer extends from lexical numerical material vice versa. results show that short-term intensive mirror-reversed words significantly not only the trained but typographies Arabic digits. Practice...
Abstract Objective Knowledge about transdiagnostic factors associated with global symptom severity among patients diagnosed various mental disorders remains limited. This study examined the cross-sectional associations between psychological processes (emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, sleep quality, perceived stress, fear of coronavirus, repetitive negative thinking), amount physical activity, and sedentary behavior severity, while controlling for sociodemographic data (age,...

Summary Background This study aimed to assess the efficacy of ImPuls, a transdiagnostic group exercise intervention, plus treatment as usual (TAU) compared TAU alone in outpatients with various mental disorders. Methods In this pragmatic, two-arm, multi-site randomised controlled trial Germany, 10 outpatient rehabilitative and medical care facilities were involved sites. Participants diagnosed according ICD-10 one or more following disorders based on structured clinical interviews: major...
