The paper presents the ALCA (asymmetric link collision avoidance) protocol, which was designed to deal with a known deficiency of basic schemes for power control in IEEE 802.11 ad hoc networks. performance is investigated and results indicate that outperforms solution problem while being considerably less complex solution.
