Oxidation stability is an important quality parameter for biodiesel. In general, the methods used to evaluate oxidation of oils and biodiesels are time-consuming. This work reports use spectrofluorimetry, a fast analytical technique, associated with multivariate data analysis as powerful tool prediction stability. The showed good agreement results obtained by EN14112 reference method Rancimat. models presented high correlation (0.99276 0.97951) between real predicted values. R(2) values...

Abstract In this study, proton NMR spectroscopy (200 MHz) was used for quantifying the content of ethyl esters in known mixtures soybean oil and soyate (biodiesel). For purpose, peak areas ester ethoxy glycerol methylenic peaks region 4.05–4.40 ppm were measured a calibration plot respective vs. composition oil/ethyl used. The transesterification values determined way compared with viscosity total determinations good correlation obtained. Therefore, routine analysis, conversion (in %) to...

Abstract In order to identify possible adulteration of onroad diesel with vegetable oil, fluorescence spectroscopy was used as the analytical technique differentiate between oil and biodiesel in blends. Diesel/oil diesel/biodiesel blends made different proportions soy, canola or waste cooking were analyzed. The reduced cost analysis using together reliability results suggest that this could be great use differentiating diesel, therefore for rapid identification confirmation adulterated...
