The predicted rise in global surface and air temperatures, resulting heat episodes, is a significant challenge for sustaining crop yield quality the coming decades. Exposure to stress during reproductive grain-filling stages of crops disrupts source-sink activities induces undesirable biochemical changes seeds. While adverse effects on production are well-known, compositional seeds due have not received equal attention. Research seed attributes crucial, as many traits that associated with...
Abstract Cell-free extracts of twenty terrestrial cyanobacteria were evaluated for their antioxidant properties in terms free-radical scavenging (DPPH and ABTS) metal chelating activity deoxyribose protection. Extract Anabaena constricta was the most prominent agent (IC 50 DPPH 0.91 mg ml −1 , ABTS 0.23 protection 0.63 Fe +2 -ion 0.9 ). The cyanobacterial species contained high quantity total phenol flavonoid that supposed to impart properties. Cyanobacterial also showed fairly PAL activity....
Induced accumulation of polyphenolics and flavonoids in cyanobacterial strains grown under different salt concentrations is correlated with their growth stress conditions enhanced antioxidant activity. Plectonema boryanum, Hapalosiphon intricatus, Anabaena doliolum Oscillatoria acuta for 21 days (80, 160, 240, 320 400 mM) BG11 medium showed differential responses terms biomass, total protein, chlorophyll content, content polyphenol, flavonoid carotenoid, phenolic acids (gallic, caffeic,...
Salinity stress is among the foremost limiting factors for crop productivity. Microorganism-based interventions salinity mitigation in plants have gained significant attention. We report impact of microbial inoculation a halotolerant methylotrophic actinobacterium (Nocardioides sp. NIMMe6; LC140963) and its phytohormone-rich bacterial culture filterate extract (BCFE) on wheat seedlings grown under saline conditions. The bacterium showed PGPR activity terms growth N-limiting media,...
Aims: To study the combined effect of irrigation scheduling and cow urine on weed dynamics. Place Duration Study: A field experiment was conducted in rabi 2019-20 2020-21 research farm Institute Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Methodology: The laid out a split-plot design with three main plots, seven subplots, that replicated thrice. plot factors were I1-Irrigation Water (IW)/Cumulative Pan Evaporation (CPE) 0.7, I2-IW/CPE 1.0, I3-IW/CPE 1.2. subplots C1: Control,...
