Abstract In supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) compressed gases in the region of their critical temperature are used as mobile phases. SFC has important advantages over gas (GC) for separation low‐volatile or thermally unstable substances. Like high pressure liquid (HPLC) and gel chromatography, it is various special applications preparative separations, e.g. petroleum industry oligomers. great interest fundamental research on extraction determination physicochemical properties...
Abstract Binary diffusion coefficients D 12 have been determined for benzene, n‐propylbenzene and 1,3,5‐trimethylbenzene in supercritical CO 2 at 40°C from 80 to 160 bar additionally between 35 55°C 110 130 with the chromatographic broadening technique (CBT). The effect of secondary flow was investigated. observed binary are order · 10 −4 cm s −1 . For a pressure rise bar, decrease by about 50%. isobaric temperature dependence is substantially higher than that bar; constant densities ρ,...
A DTA apparatus is applied to the calorimetric investigation of phase behaviour (especially rotational transition) 13 n-alkanes containing 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 27, and 31 carbon atoms as well binary system nonadecane/heneicosane up 3000 bar. The pressure transmitting gas has be prevented from being dissolved in substances, otherwise will completely changed. measurements allow a rough calculation latent heats volume changes involved with transition. From these data...
Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) require demanding numerical computations to transfer brain signals into control driving an external actuator. Increasing the computational performance of BCI algorithms carrying out these calculations enables faster reaction user inputs and allows using more decoding algorithms. Here we introduce a modular extensible software architecture with multi-threaded signal processing pipeline suitable for applications. The load latency (the time that system needs...
In March 2019, German-speaking scientists and scholars calling themselves Scientists for Future , published a statement in support of the youth protesters Germany, Austria, Switzerland (Fridays Future, Klimastreik/Climate Strike) verifying scientific evidence that protestors refer to. this article, they provide full text statement, including list supporting facts (in both English German) as well an analysis results impacts statement. Furthermore, reflect on challenges who feel dual...
Abstract Binary diffusion coefficients D12 have been determined for benzene, phenol, naphthalene and caffeine in supercritical CO2 at 40°C between 80 160 bar using the chrpmatographic peak-broadening method (CPB). The observed are of order 10−4 cm2/s decrease by about 50% a pressure rise from to bar. For effect temperature on was investigated 35 60°C constant C02 density 0.6 g/cm3; energy activation found be 4.7 kJ/mol, With increasing molecular size polarity diffusing compound, adsorption...
Abstract Using the Redlich‐Kwong equation of state (RK‐equation) thermodynamic relations are derived from which phase equilibria and critical phenomena in fluid binary systems can be calculated at high pressures. From these p‐T diagrams p‐x for mixtures with components differing considerably structure, molecular size and/or polarity (80K to 500 K; up 3 kbar); quadratic mixing rules assumed two parameters RK‐equation. All kinds hitherto known represented reasonably good agreement experimental data.
Abstract The present review considers some physicochemical properties of fluid mixtures that are importance for extraction and supercitical chromatography (SFC). Firstly, the important types phase diagrams treated, occurrence solid phases also being considered in simple cases. Specific examples given a highly volatile component I ( e.g. CO 2 , C H 6 ) with relatively involatile II squalane) very different molecular size, shape, structure, and/or polarity, it is shown how rather complicated...
Abstract Three different types of two‐phase equilibria have to be considered in fluid mixtures: liquid‐gas, liquid‐liquid, and gas‐gas equilibria. The pressure dependence critical phenomena these kinds phase will shortly reviewed recent data presented: since mainly high‐pressure work, say above 300 bar up several kbar, discussed, liquid‐liquid particular considered. New developments during years shown that the limits between three forms equilibrium mixtures are not well defined at high...
