본 연구는 ○○시 고2 학생을 대상으로 Andersen과 Newman의 의료행동분석모델을 바탕으로 정신건강서비스 이용실태 및 중복이용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 ○○시에서 실시한 ‘청소년 정신건강인식도 조사’를 활용하였으며, 총 2,613개의 사례가 분석에 포함되었다. 고2학생들이 겪은 문제들과 이용한 정신건강서비스기관을 파악하기 다중응답문항을 교차분석하였으며, 중복이용요인을 회귀분석을 실행하였다. 분석결과 아직도 전문가의 도움이 필요한 고 2학생의 71%가 정신건강서비스를 이용하지 못하고 있었다. 반면에, 서비스를 학생의 26.2%가 2개 이상의 기관에서 받았다. 서비스의 중복을 설명하는 모델에 포함된 요인들 중에서 성별, 가구유형, 주변인과의 관계, 기관 인지도, 문제의 수가 것으로 나타났다. 청소년정신건강서비스를 보다 효율적이고 효과적으로 제공하기 위한 지역사회 차원의 개선책을 모색하고 연구의 한계를 제시하였다.
