During the preparation process of glass-covered magnetic amorphous wires, axial, radial, and azimuthal internal stresses are induced, determining their properties. We have proposed a calculation method induced during solidification metal cooling from temperature to room due difference between thermal expansion coefficients glass. For ${\mathrm{Fe}}_{77.5}$${\mathrm{Si}}_{7.5}$${\mathrm{B}}_{15}$ wires we found about ${10}^{9}$ Pa. The values distribution these depend on radius thickness...

The surface magnetization processes taking place in simple permalloy (Py) and FeGa nanowires, Py/Cu, CoFeB/Cu, CoNiP/Cu, FeGa/Py, FeGa/CoFeB multilayered nanowires have been studied by magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) magnetometry. results indicate a strong correlation between the direction of anisotropy axis relative to applied field plane incidence laser spot, as well dipolar interactions or ferromagnetic layers on reversal. larger spots are inducing more noise MOKE hysteresis loops...

Results on the preparation and magnetic characterization of rapidly solidified amorphous glass-coated nanowires are reported. Rapidly have been investigated by means bulk surface hysteresis loop measurements, scanning electron microscopy, ferromagnetic resonance. Domain wall velocity has measured to demonstrate suitability new for spintronic applications. Changes in composition, thickness glass coating, nanowire dimensions allow extensive tailoring domain mobility.

We investigate the evolution of magneto-impedance (MI) response Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 glass-covered wires with annealing temperature, starting from as-cast amorphous state up to 600 °C. As-cast FeCuNbSiB display a MI ratio about 1%, this value increasing temperature 5% for 550 °C when nanocrystalline phase appears.
