Experimental searches for exotic spin-dependent forces are attracting a lot of attention because they allow to test theoretical extensions the standard model. Here, we report an experimental search possible force, specifically spin-and-velocity-dependent forces, by using K-Rb-21Ne co-magnetometer and tungsten ring featuring high nucleon density. Taking advantage sensitivity co-magnetometer, pseudomagnetic field from this force is measured be ≤7 aT. This sets limits on coupling constants...
The magnetic field gradient within optical pumping magnetometers (OPMs) suppresses sensitivity improvement. We investigated the effects of along x-, y-, and z-axes on limiting factors under extremely low conditions. modified relaxation model such that it can be applied to atoms in spin exchange free (SERF) regime. time polarizations, combined with fast spin-exchange interaction, were determined simultaneously using oscillating cosine excitation amplitude spectrum analysis method. During...
Achieving high energy resolution in spin systems is important for fundamental physics research and precision measurements, with alkali-noble-gas comagnetometers being among the best available sensors. We found a new relaxation mechanism such devices, gradient of Fermi-contact-interaction field that dominates hyperpolarized nuclear spins. report on precise control over distribution, demonstrating tenfold increase hyperpolarization transverse coherence time optimal hybrid optical pumping....
Abstract Typical weak signal search experiments rely on resonant effects, where the resonance frequency is scanned over a broad range, resulting in significant time consumption. In this study, we demonstrate an accelerated strategy that surpasses typical resonance-bandwidth limited scan step without compromising sensitivity. We apply method to alkali-noble-gas spin system, achieving approximately 30-fold increase scanning size. Additionally, obtain ultrahigh sensitivity of 1.29 fT ⋅ Hz −1/2...
We report the latest results of searching for possible new macro-scale spin-spin-velocity-dependent forces (SSVDFs) based on specially designed iron-shielded SmCo$_5$ (ISSC) spin sources and a exchange relaxation free (SERF) co-magnetometer. The ISSCs have high net electron densities about $1.7\times 10^{21}$ cm$^{-3}$, which mean detecting sensitivity; low magnetic field leakage $\sim$mG level due to iron shielding, means noise. With help from ISSCs, sensitivity SERF co-magnetometer,...
Abstract Drylands are characterized by stressful conditions with the limitation of both carbon (C) and nutrients, particularly nitrogen (N) phosphorus (P). Biological C, N, P releases from soil organic matter enzymes essential components for biogeochemical cycles sensitive to climate in drylands. However, how ecoenzymatic C:N:P stoichiometry responds environmental factors (i.e., climatic edaphic factors) over broad geographical scales remains largely unclear. We examined patterns ratios...
Abstract The Walker and Syers model of phosphorus (P) transformations during long‐term soil development has been verified along many chronosequences but rarely examined climosequences, particularly in arid regions. We hypothesized that decreasing aridity would have similar effects on P as time by increasing the rate pedogenesis. To assess this, we fractions semiarid grassland soils (0‐10 cm) a 3700 km gradient northern China (aridity between 0.43 0.97, calculated 1 − [mean annual...
This study investigates and verifies the feasibility of precise point positioning (PPP)-B2b enhanced real-time (RT) orbit determination (POD) low Earth (LEO) satellites. The principles characteristics matching various PPP-B2b corrections are introduced analyzed. performance accuracy broadcast ephemeris signals compared evaluated by referring to ephemeris. root mean square (RMS) errors in Global Positioning System (GPS) BeiDou Navigation Satellite (BDS)-3 orbits along direction larger than...
Abstract The spin dynamics in a thermal atomic vapor cell have been investigated thoroughly over the past decades and proven to be successful quantum metrology memory owing their long coherent time manipulation convenience. existing mean field analysis of among whole is sometimes inaccurate due non-uniformity ensemble spatial coupling multi-physical fields interacting with ensembles. Here we perform mode onto quasi-continuous including motion derive Bloch equations obtain corresponding...
A 65 W quasi-continuous-wave microsecond-pulse solid-state sodium beacon laser tuned to the D2a line has been developed with a linewidth of 0.3 GHz, beam quality M2=1.38, and pulse width 120 μs at repetition rate 500 Hz by sum-frequency mixing 1319 1064 nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG master-oscillator power-amplifier systems. The wavelength stability is less than ±0.15 GHz through feedback controlling. spiking due relaxation oscillations suppressed inserting frequency doublers in both oscillators....
We demonstrate a method for simultaneously measuring the spin polarizations of noble-gas and alkali-metal atoms. Under low magnetic field, polarized ensembles exhibit novel dynamics in self-compensation resonance regimes, which can be used to measure polarizations. perform this on $\mathrm{K}$-$\mathrm{Rb}$-${}^{21}$$\mathrm{Ne}$ comagnetometer with various operation temperatures pump-light intensities. The polarization electrons from 0.245 0.964 nuclear spins 0.01 0.065 are measured...
The existence of exotic spin-dependent forces may shine light on new physics beyond the standard model. We utilize two iron shielded SmCo_{5} electron-spin sources and optically pumped magnetometers to search for long-range spin-spin velocity-dependent force. orientations spin are optimized such that force is enhanced common-mode noise effectively subtracted. set direct limit proton-electron interaction in range from 1 cm km. Our experiment represents more than 10 orders magnitude...
Optical rotation detection system (ORDS) utilizing quantum nondemolition (QND) measurement methods is widely applied in the field of metrology and information. However, sensitivity ORDS limited by uncertainty from optical-couple noise during atomic spin ensemble. The search for axions sits at the intersection of solving critical problems in fundamental physics, including strong CP problem QCD, uncovering nature dark matter, and understanding origin universe's matter-antimatter asymmetry. measurement axion-mediated spin-dependent interactions offers a powerful approach axion detection. However, it has long been restricted to regions outside 'axion window' due significant trade-off: need effectively suppress magnetic leakage from highly polarized spin...
