Abstract Although slugs and snails play important roles in terrestrial ecosystems cause considerable damage on a variety of crop plants, knowledge about the mechanisms plant immunity to molluscs is limited. We found be natural herbivores Arabidopsis thaliana therefore investigated possible resistance this species against several molluscan herbivores. Treating wounded leaves with mucus residue (‘slime trail’) Spanish slug Arion lusitanicus increased wound‐induced jasmonate levels, suggesting...
Slugs and snails are important herbivores in many ecosystems. They differ from other by their characteristic mucus trail. As the is secreted at interface between plants herbivores, its chemical composition may play an essential role plant responses to slug snail attack. Based on our current knowledge about host-manipulation strategies employed pathogens insects, we hypothesized that mollusks excrete phytohormone-like substances into mucus. We therefore screened locomotion thirteen molluscan...
We revisit the concurrent security guarantees of well-known Anonymous Credentials Light (ACL) scheme (Baldimtsi and Lysyanskaya, CCS'13). This was originally proven secure when executed sequentially, its left as an open problem. A later work Benhamouda et al. (EUROCRYPT'21) gave efficient attack on ACL concurrently, seemingly resolving this question once for all.
Slugs and snails specifically secrete mucus to aid their locomotion. This is the contact material between molluscan herbivores plants. We have recently shown that locomotion of slug Deroceras reticulatum contains salicylic acid (SA).1 When applied wounded leaves Arabidopsis thaliana this induces activity SA-responsive pathogenesis related 1 (PR1) promotor1. Here we analyzed PR1 promotor in response treatments with eight slugs snails. Although none contained SA, application still elicited...
