Connecting clusters: A new class of approximately 3.4 nm sized inorganic–organic–inorganic hybrids was synthesized by covalent functionalization V3-capped Wells–Dawson-type clusters with linear bis(Tris) ligands (see scheme; TBA=nBu4N+).
