PbO-Sb(2)O(3)-B(2)O(3) glasses mixed with different concentrations of CoO (ranging from 0 to 2.0 mol%) were crystallized. The samples characterized by x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and differential calorimetric techniques. diffraction microscopic studies have revealed the presence CoSb(2)O(6), Co(2.33)Sb(0.67)O(4), Pb(5)Sb(2)O(8),Pb(3)(SbO(4))(2), PbB(4)O(7) Co(3)O(4) crystalline phases in these samples. DSC indicated spreading crystallization inside surface as...

Abstract ZnO–Sb 2 O 3 –B glasses containing different concentrations of chromium ions (introduced as CrO 2– 4 ) ranging from 0 to 1.0 mol% were prepared. A number studies viz., differential thermal analysis, infrared, optical absorption, Raman and ESR spectra dielectric properties (constant ε ′, loss tan δ , a.c. conductivity σ ac over a wide range frequency temperature) these have been carried out. The results analyzed in the light oxidation states ions. analysis indicates that when...

The glasses of the composition 20CaF2–xAl2O3–(59−x)P2O5–20SiO2:1.0Ho2O3/1.0Er2O3 and 20CaF2–xAl2O3–(59−x)P2O5–20SiO2:(0.6Ho2O3+0.4Er2O3) with x varying from 2 to 10 mol % have been synthesized. Optical absorption fluorescence spectra (in spectral range 350–2100 nm were studied at ambient temperature. Judd–Ofelt theory was applied characterize luminescence Ho3+ Er3+ ions in these glasses. Following spectra, various radiative properties like transition probability A, branching ratio β, life...
