Phosphorus is one of the key elements, which determined emergence primordial life on our planet. The source prebiotic phosphorus was most likely to be easily soluble compounds containing in negative form oxidation (e.g., phosphides). present paper first thorough investigation phosphide-bearing mineral assemblages confined telluric (terrestrial) native iron from volcanic rocks Disko Island, Greenland. speciation given varies solid solution (up 0.3 wt% P), different phosphides – schreibersite...
We address a relationship between properties of liquid and solid states by comparing structural characteristics viscosity in Al-Cu-Fe Al-Cu-Ni melts. The former system forms an equilibrium quasicrystalline phase but the latter does not. show that concentration behavior viscosity, melting temperature chemical short-range order correlate with each other. main differences melts are related to peculiarities their electronic structure, which is same for near temperature.
The kinematic viscosity measurements were carried out for liquid Fe85-xCr15Cx (x = 10–17at.%) alloys over a wide temperature range by the oscillating-cup method. dependences of these within heating and subsequent cooling modes are monotonically well show Arrhenius-like behaviour. Based on concentration melts calculated. A maximum near eutectic 14at.%C was found.
The processes of contact melting the AMg6 (Al-6%Mg-1%Mn) alloy with Zn–Cu–Al solder and model Zn–Al alloy, as well structure fusion zone, are studied. Samples were obtained in two stages. At first step, was mechanically applied (tinned) to surface plates. Аt second resulting composite samples subjected heat treatment a varied exposure time liquid state. According data metallographic X-ray diffraction analyses, differential scanning calorimetry, it shown that already at tinning stage active...
The temperature and concentration dependences of the viscosity Zn-Al melts containing up to 30 at% Al were studied. kinematic (ν) with an content from 2.5 was measured by method damped torsional oscillations a corundum crucible melt using automated high-temperature complex. A study supercooling crystallization processes during controlled slow cooling (up 1 K/s) carried out differential thermal analysis on setup. It found that non-monotonically decreased increase in Zn melt. At 10-12 25 Al,...
