The first experimental results on photoionization of mass-selected endohedral Sc3N@C80+ and Ce@C82+ fullerene ions are reported. merged-beams technique was employed to measure photo-ion yield spectra as well absolute cross sections. Comparing the fullerenes with those obtained using "empty" C80+ C82+ provides insight into mutual influence cage encapsulated atom or molecule one another in photoabsorption processes.
