Abstract Congenital hyporhinia, also known as partial arhinia, is a very rare congenital abnormality of nasal embryogenesis with unknown etiology. It commonly associated other craniofacial anomalies which are thought to be caused by an absent or rudimentary nose. Ingestion of button batteries has been seen with increasing frequency over the past decade. Several small number reported cases, their impaction in esophagus led to serious, sometimes fatal, complications. The management these cases varied from expectant, supportive therapy early surgical intervention.
