A series of monolayered lead halide hybrid perovskites (HO2C(CH2)n−1NH3)2PbX4, named (Cn)2PbX4 (n = 4–6, X Cl, Br), exhibiting a low congruent melting temperature (Tm) (Tm 130 °C for (C4)2PbBr4), high stability in the molten state, and whitish type emission, are reported. From synthesis rare solid solutions mixed organic cations (Cn1–xCn′x)2PbX4 (n, n′ 4–6; Br; 0 ≤ x ≤1) as well halides (Cn)2Pb(X1–yX′y)4 X, X′ y have been prepared characterized (thermal behavior, powder X–ray diffraction...

A layered hybrid perovskite belonging to the <110> series, (FA) 2 (HEA) Pb Br 8 (HEA + , hydroxyethylammonium; FA formamidinium) exhibits a bright green narrow emission and reversible mechanochromic luminescence effect: after grinding powder few seconds, is blue shifted from 500 480 nm due partial amorphization. PeLEDs based on as active material were also demonstrated, which unprecedented for such perovskite.

Abstract Hybrid perovskite (HP) materials are of interest in photovoltaics and lighting applications. Here we report that hybrid composites, as crystallized powders, can behave intelligent showing highly sensitive reversible mechanochromic luminescence (MCL). Composites consisting monolayered 2D HP 3D components exhibit tunable color emission upon mechanical strain. The bluish‐whitish the turns into orange composite owing to an energy transfer process. bright green emission, observed soon is...

Abstract A new layered perovskite‐type organic–inorganic hybrid compound: [Cl‐(CH 2 ) ‐NH 3 ] [CuCl 4 ( 1 ), in which 2‐chloroethylammonium cation occupies the space enclosed by CuCl 6 octahedra, has been successfully synthesized. It is found that compound exhibits semiconducting properties with optical band gap equal to 1.98 eV, confirmed AC conductivity measurements, varies between 10 −5 and −4 Ω −1 m . Also, low activation energy at temperatures (0.26 eV) can indicate electronic...
