Abstract Thin films of n‐conducting In 2 O 3 are prepared by reactive sputtering. The concentration conduction electrons is changed a heat treatment between n e = 10 17 and 20 cm −3 ( T 300°K). Concentration temperature dependence the electron mobility indicate an intense scattering at charged imperfection centres which due to considerable intrinsic lattice disorder. absorption also influenced this
Linking the fundamental physics of band structure and scattering theory with macroscopic features such as measured temperature dependencies electronic thermal transport is indispensable to a thorough understanding thermoelectric phenomena ensures more targeted efficient experimental research. Regarding ${\mathrm{Fe}}_{2}\mathrm{VAl}$-based compounds, work has seen mostly qualitative often speculative interpretations, preventing this class materials from tapping their full potential when it...

The plate capacitance formula used the calculation capacitor gap, calibration performed by signal a standard material. active length sample can be less than 1 mm. absolute resolution about Å. All mechanical connections dilatometer are carried out tiny Cu–Be springs, enabling force on to adjusted (50–500 mN) no additional fixing...
The current paper gives an overview of the newly obtained thermal expansion coefficients skutterudites as well those so far available in literature. Thermal was determined for CoSb3, Pt4Sn4.4Sb7.6, As- and Ge-based various high-ZT (micro- nanostructured) with didymium (DD) mischmetal (Mm) filler atoms frameworks (Fe1−xCox)4Sb12 (Fe1−xNix)4Sb12, double triple-filled such Ca0.07Ba0.23Co3.95Ni0.05Sb12 Sr0.025Ba0.075Yb0.1Co4Sb12. For low temperatures, a capacitance dilatometer used (4–300 K),...
The effect of the volume expansion on total linear magnetostriction Fe85Ga15, Fe80Ga20, and Fe71Ga29 mold-cast bulk alloys was investigated by measuring change in length with applied field longitudinal perpendicular to temperature gradient during solidification. In magnetically saturated state, due contribution expansion, saturation for all three about 66 % magnetostriction. is strongly dependent direction gradient, being larger this direction. substitution Fe Ga atoms increases lattice...
Abstract The influence of conduction electrons on the optical properties in near infrared has been investigated for sputtered In 2 O 3 films. results are interpreted using present theories absorption and dispersion by free carriers. frequency range considerably influenced anisotropy predominant scattering mechanism (scattering at charged defect centres) low mean time (τ ≈ 1.5 × 10 −15 s).
Thermal expansion was determined for two series of ternary compounds, Ba8MxGe46−x and Ba8MxSi46−x, with M=Cu, Zn, Pd, Ag, Cd, Pt, Au several quaternary compounds which we investigated the influence substitution by Zn/Ni in Ba8ZnxGe46−x as well dependence thermal on Si/Ge ratio Ba8Cu5SixGe41−x. In temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K all measured a capacitance dilatometer, whereas 700 selected samples dynamic mechanical analyzer employed. The low data compare lattice parameters single...
