Using data from the large-scale HONEST (Home blood pressure measurement with Olmesartan Naive patients to Establish Standard Target pressure) study, we investigated characteristics of effects olmesartan-based treatment on morning hypertension in Asian hypertensive patients. Specifically, relationship between baseline (BP) and BP reduction after 16 weeks by linear regression analyses; determinants were also investigated. For both home (MHBP) clinic (CBP), reduced systolic (SBP) was associated...
Hypertension guidelines recommend using the average of two home blood pressure (HBP) measurements obtained on one occasion to monitor pressure. We studied prognostic value first and second or their during follow-up period, as well relationships among difference between HBP prognosis data from HONEST (HBP measurement with Olmesartan-Naive patients Establish Standard Target pressure) study. During mean 2.02 years follow-up, 280 had cardiovascular events. Hazard ratios (HRs) for events each 1...
The appropriate target blood pressure (BP) in elderly patients with hypertension remains uncertain. We investigated the relationship between morning home systolic (MHSBP) during follow-up and cardiovascular (CV) risk outpatients receiving olmesartan-based treatment aged <75 years (n = 16799) ≥75 4792) HONEST study. In period (mean 2.02 years), for major CV events was significantly higher MHSBP ≥155 mmHg compared <125 both age groups Cox proportional hazards model adjusted other factors there...
We here report a 21-year-old male who presented with acute myelomonocytic leukemia (AMML) associated acquired von Willebrand syndrome (AVWS). To our knowledge, this is the first case of AVWS caused by AMML. In case, following remission-induction chemotherapy combined idarubicin and cytarabine, patient showed remarkable improvement bleeding symptoms due to AVWS. Moreover, after an allogeneic stem cell transplantation from sibling donor, both AMML maintain complete remission.
Objective: There has been no agreement among guidelines on the number of measurements home blood pressure (BP) that should be taken each occasion. The prognostic value first, second, and difference between first second in on-treatment BP was studied. Design method: In HONEST (Home measurement with Olmesartan Naive patients to Establish Standard Target pressure) Study, a prospective 2-year observational study an angiotensin receptor blocker, olmesartan-based treatment outpatients essential...
