Microbial fuel cells (MFC) can use microorganisms to directly convert the chemical energy of organic matter into electrical energy, and generate while pollutants degradation. To solve critical problem lower power yield production, this study selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis as anodic inoculums. The influence mixed bacteria on power-producing effect MFC synergy between electrochemically active in cultures were discussed. results...

<title>Abstract</title> Background Lactobacillus salivarius (L. salivarius) is a probiotic widely colonized in the gastrointestinal tracts of humans and animals. Its biosurfactant (BS) exhibits antibacterial antiviral activities, along with advantages such as biodegradability, non-toxicity, stability. Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) major pathogen swine farms, causing immunosuppression or immune dysfunction. Elevated susceptibility...

Removal of phosphate from solution using nanosized FeOOH‐modified anion resin was studied in fixed bed column. Effect height and flow rate on the breakthrough curves were investigated. Longer time obtained by increasing decreasing rate. Bed service depth (BDST) model applied to recount relationship between height. The value N 0 calculated be 21.4 g/L. Yoon‐Nelson model, which fitted well with experimental data, is allowable estimate characteristic parameters for adsorption column filled resin.

To study the therapeutic effect of norcantharidin (NCTD) combined with ABT-737 on hepatocellular carcinoma cells and molecular mechanism. Two (HCC) cell lines, HepG2 SMMC-7721, were selected. NCTD allocated into groups to be used alone or in combination. SMMC-7721 cultured vitro. Liver cancer logarithmic phase growth vaccinated wall stage; these treated for 48 h different concentrations NCTD, ABT-737, ABT-737. The proliferation inhibition rate was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium....

Three-dimensional electrodes serve as more efficient cathodes for the in situ generation of H2O2 microbial fuel cells (MFCs) than two-dimensional and possess significant electric potentials advanced oxidation organics. In this study, we investigated performance a three-dimensional MFC-Fenton system degrading p-nitrophenol (PNP) an aqueous solution with objective optimizing operating parameters, including initial pH, iron dosage, loading resistance. A corresponding reaction pathway PNP was...

In this study, ferric oxide loading graphite particle electrodes (FO/GPEs) were prepared as cathode of a three-dimensional electrode MFC-Fenton system. The properties the composite examined with higher surface area and more mesopores. FO/GPEs could work both Fenton iron reagents, contributing to high oxidation activity better performance electricity generation. application system on degrading p-nitrophenol presented catalytic efficiency in wide range pH value. removal TOC attained about 85 %...
