This study focus on modification of TiO2 with a mixture SnO2 and CeO2 that can actively degrade methylene blue as industrial dye under visible light. The synthesis mixed oxides SnO2/CeO2/TiO2 was carried out by the precipitation method which included dissolving reactants using HNO3 re-precipitation NaOH solution. precipitate then dried calcined at 650 °C. products were characterized XRD, DRUV, FTIR, SEM-EDX, TEM, photoluminescence spectroscopy. addition both decrease bandgap inhibit...
Abstract An afford to enhance TiO 2 activity under visible light as well utilize the iron rusty waste, has been conducted by doping Fe from waste into . The was performed sol-gel method of titania tetra isopropoxide with 3+ ions dissolved rust waste. In doping, concentration varied giving various mole ratios :Fe. doped photocatalysts were characterized using FTIR, XRD, SRUV, and SEM-EDX instruments. photocatalytic evaluated photodegradation Congo red light. effect some parameters that govern...
A quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) system was modified with polyvinyl acetate nanofibers and doped aniline for the detection of gaseous formaldehyde. The devised QCM gave a sensitivity 0.056 Hz ppm −1 is selective over other gases.
This research deals with enhancing the visible activity and generating magnetic property of TiO2 by Fe doping Fe3O4 impregnation respectively, using rusty iron waste as source. The prepared TiO2-Fe/Fe3O4 photocatalysts were characterized SR-UV/Visible, FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDX instruments. resulting are responsive to light can be separated magnetically used for photoreduction Cr (VI) ions. In Cr(VI) over photo-catalysts various amounts dopant alteration fraction, photocatalyst mass, irradiation...
BackgroundUrea is a fertilizer widely used by farmers, especially vegetable due to its high nitrogen content, around 46 %. However, plants only use small amount of nitrogen, maximum 35 %, while the remaining wasted and released into environment. Undeniably, it causes increases production costs environmental problems. A slow-release urea (SRF) has been formulated resolve these issues.MethodsIn this study, membrane was made chitosan with several crosslinking agents such as Tripolyphosphate...
We report herein that pristine kaolinite was used to produce furanic ethers from furfuryl alcohol (FFA) with high catalytic performance (95% conversion and 96% selectivity). Kaolinite, supplied commercially prepared without any treatment, characterized by XRD, NH3-TPD, surface area analysis, FT-IR spectroscopies. The result showed the Lewis Brønsted acid sites played a crucial role in formation of ether. reusability tests stable until fifth consecutive run.
The modification of TiO2 using rare earth oxide (La2O3) to increase the photodegradation activity under visible light has been conducted. goal this research is identify influence La2O3 on photocatalytic TiO2. mixed TiO2/La2O3 was prepared precipitation method. as-prepared catalyst then calcined at 923 K. photocatalyst characterized SRUV, XRD, FTIR, and SEM-EDX. results showed that TiO2/La2O3-923 in degradation methylene blue higher than pristine decrease bandgap energy from 3.2 eV 3.01 not...
This study used quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) as the sensor base, which was coated with nanofiber and drop cast using polyaniline (PANi) to detect camphor. As a result, camphor high performance obtained.
Highly catalytic performance of La2O3 in transfer hydrogenation reactions was achieved following pretreatment involving a sequence heat treatments under different atmospheric gases. Furfural (FFR) converted to furfuryl alcohol (FFA) very selective manner (98% conversion, with 96% selectivity) using that had been calcined air at 923 K and treated H2 673 K. Strongly basic sites weakly acidic were generated after pretreatment.
Abstract In the present study, we used rare earth oxides for catalytic transfer hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds. Pre-treated La2O3 showed better performance than various reduction Reaction conditions, precursors, and donor hydrogen sources were also investigated to optimize furfural in 2-propanol. provided a conversion different compounds selectivity corresponding alcohols up 100% 99%, respectively. We plausible mechanism using situ IR found that was adsorbed on catalyst surface...
Analysis of Fe3+ ion present in aqueous solutions is always interests. Recently, this has been analyzed by colorimetric methods using colloid silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) capping agents polymers. The reaction mechanism between AgNPs and still subject to the further investigation. In work, 1,10-phenanthroline was used probe solution. colloids were prepared polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution reacted with Fe3+. surface plasmon absorbance decreases linearly along increase concentration. addition...
