Pathophysiological alterations in the cochlea and functional tests of auditory pathway support that diabetes both vasculopathy neural changes could be present. The aim our research was to study differential effect type 1 mellitus (T1DM) on two different age groups. Audiological investigation carried out 42 patients 25 controls at same Investigation conductive sensorineural part hearing system by pure tone audiometry, distortion product otoacoustic emission measurement acoustically evoked...
In 2015 a new regulation and guidelines for the universal newborn hearing screening by AABR measurement have been implemented in Hungary. The aim of our study was to analyse (1) past 5 years data from diagnostic centre about incidence types congenital losses, (2) first experiences with National Newborn Hearing Screening Registry, started 2019, (3) influence on pediatric cochlear implant program.1269 children referred between 2017 2021 were investigated. A third full audiological evaluation...
When the vascular disorder of cochleovestibular system is mentioned, diagnosis based on exclusion other diseases. Since arteries cannot be directly visualized, physicians must deduce from risk factors and lesion territories to disease.Authors analyzed data 19 patients with vertigo. Detailed blood tests, complete neurootological audiological examination including ABR, carotid vertebral artery Doppler sonography, MRI MRA was performed.Cochleovestibular ABR showed abnormalities in 73.7%, either...
Abstract: Introduction: Congenital sensorineural hearing loss is one of the most common sensory defects affecting 1–3 children per 1000 newborns. There are a lot causes which result in congenital loss, genetic origin, but infection, cochlear malformation or other acquired can be reasons as well. Aim: The aim this study was to establish etiological factors profound who underwent implantation. Results: Our results show that origin discovered 62.9% our patients. factor c.35delG mutation gap...
Bevezetés: Az agyhártyagyulladások kapcsán kialakult súlyos fokú halláscsökkenés előfordulása 0–11% közötti. A gyulladás során a belső fülben röviddel betegség lezajlását követően hegesedés indulhat meg, mely betegek hallásrehabilitációját cochlearis implantátummal ellehetetlenítheti. rapid folyamat miatt mielőbbi centrumba irányítása kritikus fontosságú. Célkitűzés: agyhártyagyulladás hallásukat vesztett körében vizsgáltuk megbetegedés és centrumban való megjelenés között eltelt időt,...
Evoked response audiometry was carried out to assess the viability of auditory pathway in haemodialysed patients. The latency waves III and V I-V interpeak latencies were significantly longer renal patients compared control group. 8 our 13 than upper limit (4.38 ms) laboratory. possible cause for central dysfunction may be multifactorial, including effect metastatic calcifications, repeated occurrence disequilibrium syndrome, or some small, molecular, toxic, metabolic substance. significance...
Sufficient hearing is the cornerstone of development children's complex sensory perception, sound recognition, speech and optimal communication skills. Hearing screening newborns necessary to detect congenital disorders. Compulsory objective in Hungary a significant improvement early diagnosis. The Audiological Department Otorhinolaryngology, Head Neck Surgery Clinic at Semmelweis University serves as verification center for children identified via compulsory newborn necessitates more...
The cochlear implant program in Budapest began 1985, since when 60 operations have been performed, 14 of them on children (51 primary procedures and 9 reimplantations). Different devices also different techniques used: extracochlear promontory, round window intracochlear implants. Various speech processors were applied; at first a digital pulsatile sound-encoding system, later analog used, while operating the basis CIS strategy are preferred nowadays. performed both pre- postlingual...
The authors give an account of their experiences with cochlear implants on the basis 10 years' work. Pre-operative evaluation, operating methods and postoperative rehabilitation are presented. During a decade 56 operations were performed, 11 them children. Results prelingually deaf children demonstrated together phenomenon hearing improvement observed contralateral side operation.
Bevezetés: A halláscsökkenés olyan érzékszervi károsodás, mely a beszédértést, kommunikációt, így az életminőséget is rontja. Előfordul, hogy beteg által megélt funkcióvesztés túlzó, mérések során szubjektív és objektív vizsgálati eredmények ellentmondásosak, szubjektíven jelzett mértéke jelentősebb; ezen esetekben felmerül funkcionális véleményezése. Célkitűzés: Célul tűztük ki diagnózisú eseteink összegyűjtését retrospektív elemzését, melyek alapján következtetéseket vonhatunk le...
