Successful implementation of new methods and models healthcare to achieve better patient outcomes safe, person-centered care is dependent on the physical environment architecture in which provided. Thus, decisions concerning are critical because it affects people work processes for many years requires a long-term financial commitment from society. In this paper, we describe suggest several strategies (critical factors) promote shared-decision making when planning designing environments. This...
Abstract Purpose – The aim of this paper is to increase the understanding clients' attitudes project success and measuring performance. Four questions are discussed: what factors, criteria, how achieve characteristics systems for performance? findings will support development performance in construction projects. Design/methodology/approach focuses on professional clients their organizations within field Swedish construction. It based semi‐structured interviews with 23 experienced...
Patients in mental health care rely on staff for their well-being, security, and quality of treatment. However, staff's perspective the physical environment where takes place remains underexplored. Their insights are crucial to understanding how impacts care. Therefore, aim this study is explore meanings inpatient according shortly after relocation a new facility. The employed phenomenological approach focus group interviews with 20 working newly built Data were analysed using van Manen's...
Purpose The paper seeks to suggest methods that will enable innovative and effective communication collaboration between clients construction project management professionals. Public clients in the construction sector face a number of challenges designing, procuring and managing major projects. The client's role bringing about project delivery has more recently been emphasized, particularly with respect to developing capabilities that facilitate coordinating projects through its different phases. In line these developments, this paper sets out examine management client organization lens dynamic framework. particular, what is investigated how senses, seizes...
Aim: To explore women’s experiences of physical features in a birthing room designed to be adaptable personal wishes and needs during labor birth. Background: Childbirth is central life event influenced by numerous factors, including the healthcare environment; however, there insufficient knowledge on how design affects women Methods: This study was part randomized controlled trial Room4Birth research project, receive care new with changeable according wishes. Data consisted responses two...
Purpose Previous research within the dynamic capabilities literature has primarily targeted strategic innovation of technology firms and significantly less interest been given to project-based organizations that operate in construction sector. A recent study by Davies Brady (2016) places concept a context, drawing upon on organizational ambidexterity. The purpose this paper is apply aforementioned framework case involving public clients with aim examining their approaches for maintaining or...
To evaluate if a birthing room designed with person-centred considerations improves labour and birth outcomes for nulliparous women when compared to regular rooms. A randomised controlled trial was conducted at Swedish ward between January 2019 October 2020. Nulliparous in spontaneous were either (New room) or Regular room. The primary outcome composite of four variables: vaginal non-instrumental birth; no oxytocin augmentation; postpartum blood loss < 1000 ml; positive childbirth...
Studies have shown how built environments for hospitals can influence psychological and physiological conditions status childbearing women. Sensory attributes of birth spaces enhance comfort, feelings wellbeing, and, to some extent, clinical outcomes. Recently, case studies multisensory rooms the environment been developed based on, e.g., Snoezelen room examples. The aim this research is develop an overview sensory aspects are designed, used, tested in current recent studies. Case were...
Background: The provision of supportive environments is essential in clinical and environmental psychology. Mental health disorders are a major issue, the experience being at mental facility affected by numerous factors related to building’s design. Aim: aim this study explore expectations planning group regarding potential impact design on patients’ staff’s therapeutic practices when designing new facility. Methods: case data were collected through qualitative in-depth interviews with nine...
This study aims to describe secure institutional youth care homes in Sweden terms of the conditions their spatial environment (i.e. physical design and objects) individual characteristics youths placed there. Data were collected through a survey from Swedish National Board Institutional Care. The population consisted 18 units 1,859 institutions 2006 end 2016. results showed that 74.1% enrolled under acute circumstances. They often present with mental health problems, such as sleep...

Abstract An immunohistochemical double‐staining technique was applied to frozen sections of biopsies from subcutaneous rheumatoid nodules. Material within the central necrosis reacted with anti‐immunoglobulin and anti‐HLA‐DR antibodies. Cells palisading layer were “macrophage‐like,” as indicated by staining for OKM1, showed a high proliferative activity seen OKT9 reactivity. The granulation zone contained many (αLeu‐1+) T cells in close contact HLA‐DR‐expressing non‐T cells.
This paper presents a research based analytical model that supports the planning of workspace and to contribute discussion on how achieve efficient work places. The behind this aims develop knowledge regarding design Through literature studies, case study action projects considers in what way spatial issues matter organisations. By relating various aspects it is possible illustrate focus perspectives change during organisational changes. A need for new professional roles processes workplace...
