This article reports on the extraction and characterization of novel natural cellulose fibers obtained from maize (tassel) plant. Cellulose was extracted agricultural residue (waste biomaterial) tassel. The tassel were after treatment with NaOH carefully characterized while chemical composition determined. showed that content increased 41% to 56%, following alkali treatment. FT-IR spectroscopic analysis confirmed this also shows way partial elimination hemicelluloses lignin structure fibers....
Abstract The inherent properties of poly(lactide), a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer, are concurrently improved by the incorporation small amount surface functionalized carbon nanotubes. A new method has been used to functionalize CNTs' outer with hexadecylamine. composite PLA CNTs prepared melt‐extrusion. FT‐IR spectroscopy, Raman DSC, optical microscopy investigate thermal mechanical property improvement mechanism in f‐CNTs containing composite. magnified image
Adsorptive removal of toxic compounds makes practical and effective use modified bentonite composite is a standout amongst the most appealing methodologies. Lately, bentonite, subset advanced porous nanostructured materials, due to their unique characteristics are demonstrating awesome guarantee for better adsorption different water contaminants. Given significance organic inorganic removal, as vital class pollutants, this research article intends review summarize, quickly late published on...
Polysaccharides are renewable biodegradable natural materials and accounted for to control the formation of hybrid silica nanocomposites by sol gel process. The synthesis templated xerogel essentially includes two critical steps hydrolysis polycondensation reaction that started catalyst precursor solution. Aside from this Saponification guar-graft-polyacrylonitrile (s-GG-g-PAN) as a copolymer included in solution providing novel templating environment matrix formation. s-GG-g-PAN acts...
Introduction Triclosan is a common antibacterial drug identified as major contaminant in South African waters, notably Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal provinces. This comes from personal care products pharmaceuticals. It has been frequently detected local streams wastewater treatment plants, posing threat to aquatic ecosystems human health. Studies have emphasised the necessity of addressing presence triclosan water bodies lessen its harmful impacts on environment. Methods In this study, NaAlg/MnS...
ABSTRACT The effect of graphite (G) and graphene oxide (GO) dispersions on the thermal, mechanical, rheological properties biodegradable polylactide (PLA)/poly(ɛ‐caprolactone) (PCL) blend composites has been comparatively investigated. Surface morphology analysis indicates that degree morphological stability depends not only loading filler but also enthalpic interaction between surface polymer blend. A significant improvement in elongation at break (43.8%), with well‐balance modulus strength...
A new wave of science innovation is based on something much smaller than ever before. Nanotechnology the hottest buzz in laboratories around world. Scientists are using this cutting edge technology not only to develop incredible products, but also work towards cleaning water. Recently, heavy metal contamination has be essential serious ecological issues. The treatment metals special concern environment. As late, different techniques for removal ions from wastewater have been widely...
