Low-molecular-weight RNA analysis was performed for the identification and classification of 20 Argentinian strains isolated from root nodules Prosopis alba. SDS-PAGE total cellular proteins, determination DNA base composition, DNA-DNA reassociation experiments physiological biochemical tests were also carried out these whole 16S rRNA gene sequenced one strains, strain LMG 19008T. Results genotypic phenotypic characterization showed that in this study belong to a group clustered genus...

Fascioliasis is a disease caused by Fasciola hepatica worldwide transmitted lymnaeid snails mainly of the Galba/Fossaria group and F. gigantica restricted to parts Africa Asia Radix lymnaeids. Concern has recently risen regarding high pathogenicity human infection capacity gigantica. Abnormally big-sized fasciolids were found infecting sheep in Ecuador, only South American country where been reported. Their phenotypic comparison with from Peru, Bolivia Spain, Egypt Vietnam demonstrated...

We evaluated the effects of amount and type C compounds (labile/recalcitrant) crop residues on soil organic matter (SOM) components under no-tillage practices in semiarid region Argentina, with aim establishing criteria for sustainable agriculture. Five agricultural situations were evaluated: soybean/wheat rotation (wheat at bare fallow); soybean monoculture; soybean/maize maize/wheat/potato rotations biannual ploughing. In each situation samples collected. residue samples, biomass (total...

We report the first finding of Lymnaea cousini naturally infected with Fasciola hepatica in Ecuador. A sample 70 snails was collected April 2005 from a wetland located valley at approximately 3000 m a.s.l., near locality Machachi, Pichincha Province. The prevalence natural infection L. 31.43%, which is highest value ever recorded for lymnaeid species.

Our aim was to propose a valid tool for measuring standards fertility from perspective. The products obtained both were highly variable their biological composition (without following general pattern)....

There is great concern worldwide about air and water pollution arising from N-fertilizer. Considering the expansion of agriculture fertilization practices in Argentina, objective this study was to determine effect Nfertilizers on soil N dynamics then relationship with nitrate concentration aquifers. Soil samples were taken during a maize crop cycle two agricultural farms under different treatments: UAN (urea, ammonium tiosulfate, 110 kg ha-1); UREA 60 ha-1). treatment produced an increase...
