Chitosan is used in medicine, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agriculture, water treatment, and food due to its superior biocompatibility biodegradability. Nevertheless, the complex relatively expensive extraction costs hamper exploitation and, implicitly, recycling of marine waste, most abundant source chitosan. In spirit developing environmental-friendly cost-effective procedures, present study describes one method worth consideration deliver calcium-carbonate-enriched chitosan from shrimp...

Water pollution is becoming a great concern at the global level due to highly polluted effluents, which are charged year by with increasing amounts of organic residues, dyes, pharmaceuticals and heavy metals. For some these pollutants, industrial treatment wastewater still relevant. Yet, in cases, such as pharmaceuticals, specific schemes urgently required. Therefore, present study describes synthesis evaluation promising cryostructured composite adsorbents based on chitosan containing...

Ephedrine is an illicit drug, classified as precursor for methamphetamine, which also used stimulant, appetite suppressant, decongestant or asthma. In this study, novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) films were prepared by sol-gel derived techniques, using N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane functional monomer, to recognize ephedrine from aqueous solutions. The obtained air-spraying the solutions, with various concentrations of monomer and template, on glass supports....

Abstract In the present study, synthesis of titanium nitride (TiN) by carbothermal reduction nitridation (CRN) reaction using nanocomposites made mesoporous TiO 2 /acrylonitrile with different content inorganic phase were explored. The choice hybrid nanocomposite as precursor for TiN was due to possibility having an intimate interface between organic and phases in mixture that can favours CRN reaction. Subsequently, composites have been subjected four-step thermal treatments at 290 °C, 550...
