Cities exhibit diverse urban metabolism patterns in terms of the natural environment, industrial composition, energy, and material consumption. A chronicled city-level quantification emergy metabolic flows over time can significantly enhance understanding temporal dynamics patterns, which provides critical insights for transitions to sustainability. However, there exists no dataset China that support detailed spatial-temporal analysis. In this study, we present a China's 281 cities between...

Purpose The objective of this study is to evaluate the overall technical efficiency, labor capital efficiency and equipment 30 Chinese construction sectors foster sustainable economic growth in industry. Design/methodology/approach This employed super-efficiency data envelopment analysis (SE-DEA) artificial neural network model (ANN) industrial performance improvement potential regional from 2000 2017. Findings Results showed that efficiencies displayed relatively stable patterns. Equipment...

This paper analyzes the relationship between building industrialization and labor productivity.Based on Cobb-Douglas production function, productivity model is established to evaluate effect degree of productivity, then a case study China's construction industry from 2000 2014 used degree. The results demonstrates that greater than capital investment, with percentage increasing by 57.28%, investment 42.72%.Overall indicated an effective way improve in industry.

Abstract Unprecedented pace of urbanization and industrialization caused a massive increase in China’s urban metabolic pressure. The trend presents an urgent challenge for detailing the long-term changes disparities performances wide range cities. Here, we present empirical evidence 283 cities from 2000 to 2018 based on emergy analysis indicating that performance gradually becomes worse. For example, environmental sustainability index decreased by 81.64% between 2018. In addition,...

Abstract Environmental problems are endowed with the causal complexity of multiple factors. Traditional quantitative research on influencing mechanism environmental pollution has tended to focus marginal effects specific factors but generally neglected interaction between (especially three or more). Based panel data 30 Chinese provinces 2011 and 2017, this study employs fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) - which can provide a fine-grained insight into issues shed light...
