A Cu–10C nanocomposite has been synthesised by high energy milling of elemental powders, followed annealing at 873 K. Phase identification and microstructure characterisation have carried out with transmission electron microscopy. Copper grain size ranged from 10 to 120 nm for the as milled material 150 after annealing. No graphite reflections could be detected diffraction in either or annealed samples. Nevertheless, both conditions contain clusters carbon <10 nm, which benefit sliding...

Sampling is an important tool for gathering information about mineral deposits, helping to estimate the ore grade, and has great relevance at any stage of a mining project, ensure reliable results consequently, project better planning. There are several errors which sampling exposed among them we can mention fundamental error (FSE). This cannot become zero as it related constitutional heterogeneity ore, so represents minimum error. study applies Pierre Gy's theory (TOS) values K α constants...

The present study examines nanocomposites prepared by mechanical alloying of copper with other transition elements, which will produce a dispersion stable boride and carbides reinforcement particles within nanostructured matrix, at room temperature. Copper, niobium, boron graphite powder mixtures were mechanically alloyed for several hours in planetary ball-mill, argon atmosphere using stainless steel container. produced nominal composition 10-30 vol.% NbC 7-10 NbB2, powders pure elemental...

Cu-matrix composites are interesting materials to be used as coatings in applications where efficient heat transfer and good wear resistance simultaneously necessary, like mould repair, electric sliding contacts, high temperature seals, etc.In this work, Cu-NbC nanocomposite powder was synthesized in-situ by mechanical alloying from elemental mixtures of Cu, Nb graphite powders produce Cu-10% NbC on CK45 steel substrate laser cladding. The have an average thickness 800 Pm present some...
