Abstract Statin treatment may increase the risk of diabetes; there is insufficient data on how statins affect glucose regulation and glycemic control effects liver enzymes related to carbohydrate metabolism have not been fully studied. Therefore, we aimed compare statin derivatives, pravastatin, rosuvastatin, in an experimental diabetic rat model. Female Wistar albino rats were used diabetes was induced by intraperitoneal injection streptozotocin. Thereafter, 10 20 mg kg −1 day doses both...

In the present study, coumarin and some derivatives (esculetin, scoparone, 4-methylumbelliferone) were investigated for their lipid-lowering effect in rats. Male Sprague–Dawley rats (150–200 g) divided into six groups each group comprised of five Hepatic injury-dependent hyperlipidemia was induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 , 1.25 ml/kg). Coumarin esculetin (35 mg/kg), scoparone 4-methylumbelliferone or (30 mg/kg) administered to experimental at 12-h intervals. Animals received...

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the effect resveratrol with gliclazide and losartan in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats. Materials methods: Adult male Wistar albino rats were divided into five groups seven each. Diabetes a single intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection (55 mg/kg). Rats blood glucose levels above 250 mg/dl after 48 h included group. Gliclazide administered for 3 weeks at 5 mg/kg per day 30 an oral aqueous suspension. At end third week all euthanized fasting glucose,...

Introduction: Recently, interesting adipokines have been described that affect glucose metabolism and insulin resistance. However, the relationships between these their importance in pathogenesis of diabetes are contradictory. The aim present study was to investigate relationship plasma adipsin, adiponectin, vaspin, visfatin, leptin levels diabetic rats with liver enzymes related parameters. Methods: Wistar albino were divided into three groups: control, treatment groups, each 7 them. One group...

Asprosin is a new hormone secreted mainly from white adipose tissue. It may be associated with the pathogenesis of obesity, diabetes and some metabolic diseases. The changes in plasma asprosin levels experimental diabetic rats relation these liver glucose metabolism parameters were investigated, effects metformin, gliclazide or curcumin treatment on tried. study was designed as an animal model albino divided into five groups. To induce diabetes, single dose STZ injected intraperitoneally....

Aim: In this study, the effects of rosuvastatin and pravastatin on bone metabolism were evaluated. Comparison positive or negative two different statins biochemical parameters related to in 20 mg / kg day diabetic rats will be contribute enrichment literature subject. addition, information obtained about whether use beneficial disorders that may occur due aging diabetes DM patients. Materials Methods: a rat model induced by Streptozotocin (STZ), possible Rosuvastatin Pravastatin, both...

In this study, the effect of acute cold-restraint stress (ACRS) on macrophage phagocytic activity and possible role inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) was investigated. The plasma total nitrate levels were increased by administration ACRS. These effects blocked injection a specific iNOS inhibitor aminogua- nidine (AG) (100 mg/kg, i.p.). Taken together, these findings indicate that increase at ACRS exposed rats is related to originated (NO).

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the serum visfatin, eotaxin and fetuin-A levels in patients with normal BMI overweight type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Material Method: This perform 30 T2DM 20 healthy subjects. Test subjects were divided into four groups as two diabetics controls. Diabetics a body mass index (BMI) 26.2-29.9 kg/m2 included diabetic group (OD), those 20.9-24.9 (ND). volunteers control also (OC) (NC). Smoking alcohol users not study. In addition,...
