In this study, Shapiro-Wilks, Lilliefors and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests were compared for Type I error power of the tests. The simulation was run 100, 000 times different situations types departures from normality. For all sample sizes distributions, Shapiro-Wilks gave most powerful results, followed by test.Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results weakest among three tests. All when ran on data with exponential distribution.
In this study, Regression Tree Analysis (RTA) was used to predict and determine the most important variables in predicting slaughter weight of Ross 308 broiler chickens. Data for study came from 224 chickens raised during three different seasons, namely spring (n=66), summer winter (n=92). Second week body weight, shank length, width, breast bone circumference length were weight. Results RTA showed that among seven independent only four selected, namely; circumference. These selected more...
Water stress is one of the most important growth limiting factors in crop production.Several methods have been used to detect and evaluate effect water on plants. The use remote sensing deemed particularly practically suitable for assessing implementing appropriate management strategies because it presents unique advantages repeatability, accuracy, cost-effectiveness over ground-based surveys detection. The objectives this study were 1) determine sweet corn (Zea mays L.) using spectral indices...
In this simulation study, five correlation coefficients, namely, Pearson, Spearman, Kendal Tau, Permutation-based, and Winsorized were compared in terms of Type I error rate power under different scenarios where the underlying distributions variables interest, sample sizes patterns varied. Simulation results showed that Pearson coefficient negatively affected by distribution shapes especially for small sizes, which was much more pronounced Spearman Rank Tau coefficients when small. general,...
Abstract. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect different feed restrictions which were applied in early period on change Body Mass Index Ross 308 broiler chickens. For aim we used two statistical methods, namely Profile analysis and Growth curves. daily body weight weekly length chickens was collected from 7 days age 42 age. compare differences among groups Gompertz growth function regressed these data estimate parameters. group profiles not found parallel terms (P<0.001)...
Abstract The objective of the present study was to characterize virgin olive oils (28 samples from 2005–06 seasons) produced in Çanakkale region. total phenolics ranged 34.60 162.61 mg gallic acid/kg. Similarly, antioxidant capacity indicated by a range 0.25–1.66 mmol Trolox equivalent/kg. Samples with greater also had highest phenolic content. Viscosity (60.4–66.3 cP) and instrumental color values (L, a*, b*) were not statistically different among five counties. Peroxide some out this...
This study was carried out in order to determine the enzyme activity of wood vinegar obtained from hazelnut shells with potential bio-pesticide agro-ecosystem soil, and its effect on microfungi heterotrophic bacteria total. The realized production seasons 2014-2015 2015-2016, ecological conditions province Muş (in Turkey) winter wheat field four repetitions according Randomized Blocks Experimental Design. The treatments within scope experiment were conducted as six different doses at 0.5%,...
ABSTRACT This study was carried out for two purposes: comparing performances of Regression Tree and Automatic Linear Modeling determining optimum sample size these methods under different experimental conditions. A comprehensive Monte Carlo Simulation Study designed purposes. Results simulation showed that percentage explained variation estimates both influenced by size, number variables, structure variance-covariance matrix. had higher performance than all It concluded the required much...
We used a regression tree method (RTM) to determine risks of depression in children/adolescents. The survey records 4,143 children/adolescents study based Mersin, Turkey served as data this study, and multi-step, stratified, cluster sampling were used. Effects 24 variables (sex, smoking, parental problems, etc.) evaluated on scores. Child Beck Depression Inventory (CBDI) was the level depression. Subjects into 12 different groups magnitudes mean interactions among 7 determined be risk...
Abstract. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect different feeding programs such as ad libitum (AD), 20 % feed restriction based on group (FR1) and not fed between 9 a.m. 3 p.m. (FR2) deviation from bilateral symmetry or developmental stability in broiler chickens by means two approaches namely asymmetry measures allometric growth model parameters. weekly left right sides shank length, width, wing length face width were collected 7 days age 42 age. Results showed that...
A Monte Carlo simulation was conducted to compare the type I error rate and test power of analysis means (ANOM) one-way variance F-test (ANOVA-F). Simulation results showed that as long homogeneity assumption satisfied, regardless shape distribution, number group combination observations, both ANOVA-F ANOM have displayed similar rates. However, tests been negatively affected from heterogeneity variances. This case became more obvious when ratios increased. The values changed with respect...
ABSTRACT In this study, performances of Multiple Linear Regression and Automatic Modelling are compared for different sample sizes number predictors. A comprehensive Monte Carlo simulation study was carried out purpose. Random numbers generated from multivariate normal distribution by using RNMVN function IMSL library Microsoft FORTRAN Developer Studio composed the material study. Results showed that size predictors main factors lead to produce results. Although both methods gave very...
Abstract. Sixteen kids were assigned at an average of 6 weeks age to two treatments: control with no supplementation and 5 g/kid probiotic daily. The was resuspended in distilled water given orally every day the morning throughout a 42 d study. Grower concentrate, vetch hay offered ad libitum Kids abruptly weaned 14 days after initiation study received only grower from 15 42. did not result any significant differences weight gain, nutrient intake, feed efficiency diarrhea score kids. However...
A simulation study was conducted to investigate the effect of non normality and unequal variances on Type I error rates test power classical factorial anova F ‐test different alternatives, namely rank transformation procedure (FR), winsorized mean (FW), modified (FM) permutation (FP) for testing interaction effects. Simulation results showed that as long no significant deviation from homogeneity exists, generally all tests displayed similar results. However, if there is assumptions, other...
Bu çalışma fındık kabuklarından elde edilen odun sirkesi’nin, in vitro şartlarında Aspergillus niger ve Penicillium digitatum mikrofunguslarına karşı antifungal etkisini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Odun sirkesi’nin %1, %3, %5, %7 %10 mL’lik konsantrasyonlarının dâhil edildiği Patates Dekstroz Agar (PDA)’a, mikrofungusların 5 mm çapındaki miselyum diskleri inoküle edildikten sonra 24±1 oC’de 7 gün boyunca inkübasyona bırakılmıştır. İnkübasyonun sonunda koloni çapları ölçülmüş kontrollere...
Abstract. This study aimed to investigate the relations among pre- and post-slaughter traits of American bronze turkeys. Birds were raised under three different lighting regimes. Pre-slaughter measured when birds 15-, 20-, 30-weeks age. Canonical correlation analysis showed that as aged characters became more pronounced. Coefficients determination (R2) 63.6-82.8% pre-slaughter characteristics at 15th week, 84.8–94.6% 20th 91.3–99.1% 30th respectively.
Abstract. A study was conducted to evaluate the influence of three lighting programs (23L: 1D), (18L: 6D), and (12L: 12D) on live weight changes American Bronze turkeys by Profile analysis technique. The F-statistics Wilk’s Lamba statistics for testing group-response interaction or similar profiles suggested that there a significant effect (p<0.01). effects gain appeared be different throughout except last 6 weeks. On other hand, results present followed trend had physiological from 10th...
