Abstract The origins of cultivated chrysanthemums have attracted considerable attention, but they remain poorly known. Here, we reconstructed the phylogeny representative well‐known cultivars and wild species genus Chrysanthemum using chloroplast genomes nuclear LEAFY gene. Our results suggest that geographic ecological factors may determine opportunities for to be involved in origin cultivars. C. indicum, zawadskii, dichrum, nankingense, argyrophyllum , vestitum were likely directly or...
Chrysanthemum rhombifolium (Ling et C. Shih), an endemic plant that is extremely well-adapted to harsh environments. However, little known about its molecular biology of the plant's resistant traits against stress, or even overall plant. To investigate and mechanism stress adaptation, we performed transcriptome sequencing leaves using Illumina platform. A total 130,891 unigenes were obtained, 97,496 (~74.5%) annotated in public protein database. The similarity search indicated 40,878 74,084...
Abstract Introduction Chrysanthemums are traditional flowers that originated in China and have high ornamental, economic medicinal value. They widely used as herbal remedies consumed food or beverages folk medicine. However, little is known about their metabolic composition. Objectives The aims of this work were to determine the composition natural variation among different species Chrysanthemum explore new potential resources for drug discovery sustainable utilisation wild . Methods...
