Novel, polymeric linear chains of Keggin polyoxometalate units PMnW11O39 linked through Mn-O-W bridges (see picture below) are present in the structure title compound 1. The alternate with layers organic donor bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (ET). We report a two-dimensional Hofmann-like spin-crossover (SCO) material, [Fe(trz-py)2{Pt(CN)4}]·3H2O, built from [FePt(CN)4] layers separated by interdigitated 4-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,4H-triazole (trz-py) ligands with two symmetrically inequivalent FeII sites. This compound exhibits an incomplete first-order spin transition at 153 K between fully high-spin (HS–HS) and intermediate low-spin (HS–LS) ordered states. At low temperature, it undergoes bidirectional photoswitching to HS–HS (LS–LS)...
Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites (OIHP) are developing rapidly as high-performance semiconductors for solid-state solar cells and light emitting devices. Recently, lead-halide two-dimensional (2D) OIHP were found to present bright broadband visible emission, thus, highlighting their potential single component white-light (WL) emitters. This contribution deals with the preparation of a new Cd-based 2D perovskite, chemical formula (C6H11NH3)2CdBr4 (abbreviated compound 1), which structural...
Multifunctional mononuclear iron(ii) complex coordinated with six phosphorescent ligands exhibiting correlated spin-crossover transition and enhanced fluorescence.
Reaction of NaN3 with the [CuII(tn)]2+ ion (tn = 1,3-diaminopropane) in basic aqueous solution yields azido-bridged complex formula [Cu2(tn)2(N3)4] (1), which is characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structure 1 made up dinuclear neutral complexes, [Cu2(tn)2(N3)4], resulting from assembling two mononuclear units through equivalent end-on azide bridges connecting asymmetrically Cu(tn)(N3)2 entities. These are connected asymmetric end-to-end N3 to form a chain dimers. Magnetic...

A new dinuclear complex [{Fe(tpc-OBn)(NCS)(μ-NCS)}2] (1) based on the tripodal tpc-OBn ligand (tpc-OBn = tris(2-pyridyl)benzyloxymethane), containing bridging μ-κN:κS-SCN and terminal κN-SCN thiocyanate ligands, has been prepared characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, magnetic studies, DFT theoretical calculations. This represents first example of FeII with double bridges in a head-to-tail configuration that exhibits ferromagnetic coupling between metal ions (JFeFe +1.08 cm–1)....
The present work deals with a new one-dimensional (1D) organic–inorganic hybrid material, namely (C9H10N2)PbCl4 (abbreviated as AQPbCl4). Its crystal structure is built up from the infinite 1D chain of edge-sharing PbCl6 octahedra surrounded by 3-aminoquinoline AQ) organic molecules. Contrary to most materials, where moieties act barriers and inorganic parts play role quantum wells, both in AQPbCl4 are optically active, giving rise optical properties involving competition interaction two...
Alternating layers of radicals the π-electron donor 1 and polyoxonions [CoW12O40]6− (2, polyhedral representation) are contained in title compound. Thus, organic charge carriers inorganic electron-acceptor components lie next to each other. Since polyoxometalates can accommodate different metal ions at specific sites, such anions attractive precursors for preparation radical cation salts with new electrical magnetic properties.

A new polymeric approach, based on cyanocarbanion ligands, for the design of spin crossover (SCO) compounds led us to compound [Fe(abpt)2(tcpd)] (1) (tcpd2− = (C[C(CN)2]3)2−, abpt 4-amino-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole) which has been characterised as first SCO molecular chain involving a bridging ligand.
The use of the recently prepared polynitrile ligand tcnopr3OH(-) ([(NC)(2)CC(OCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)OH)C(CN)(2)](-)) with different salts Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) has led to a very rare example linkage isomerism in coordination chain. These pairs isomers can be formulated as [M(tcnopr3OH-κN,κO)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]; M = Fe (1), Co (3), Ni(5) [M(tcnopr3OH-κN,κN')(2)(H(2)O)(2)]; (2), (4), Ni (6). Compounds 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 are three since they present same formula chain structure only differ connectivity...

A novel spin-crossover (SCO) dinuclear complex, [Fe2(μ2-cp-trz)3(cp-trz)2(tcm)4] (cp-trz = 4-cyclo-pentyl-1,2,4-triazole, tcm- tricyanomethanide anion), was synthesized and thoroughly characterized. Crystallographic analyses at 250 180 K revealed a centrosymmetric structure with Fe(II) centers bridged by triazole ligands. The complex exhibits cooperative hysteretic thermally induced abrupt one-step spin transition between high-spin (HS) low-spin (LS) states. Magnetic measurements (Magn),...
