Layered Ruddlesden–Popper titanates HLnTiO4 and H2Ln2Ti3O10 (Ln = La, Nd) have been exfoliated into nanosheets in aqueous tetrabutylammonium hydroxide systematically investigated as hydrogen evolution photocatalysts. The were tested both as-prepared pristine form after reassembly by two methods (simple filtration precipitation hydrochloric acid). nanosheet-based samples demonstrated up to 88 times greater photocatalytic performance comparison with the bulk precursors and, modification a Pt...

A series of hybrid inorganic–organic niobates HCa2Nb3O10×ROH, containing n-alkoxy groups primary alcohols (R = Me, Et, Pr, Bu, Hx, and Dc) grafted in the interlayer space, has been studied for first time relation to photocatalytic hydrogen generation from a model 1 mol % aqueous solution methanol under ultraviolet irradiation. Photocatalytic activity was measured both bare samples their composites with Pt nanoparticles as cocatalyst. The advanced measurement scheme allowed monitoring volume...

A series of hybrid niobates HCa2Nb3O10×RNH2, containing n-alkylamines (R = Me, Et, Pr, Bu, Hx, Oc) intercalated into the interlayer space, has been thoroughly studied concerning photocatalytic hydrogen production from a model aqueous solution methanol for first time. All photocatalysts were synthesized by conventional ceramic technique followed protonation and intercalation n-alkylamines. The products characterized using XRD, Raman, IR diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, TGA, CHN-analysis SEM....

Two series of hybrid inorganic-organic derivatives, obtained via the modification protonated Ruddlesden–Popper phases H2Ln2Ti3O10 (Ln = La, Nd) with intercalated n-alkylamines and grafted n-alkoxy groups, have been systematically investigated in relation to photocatalytic hydrogen production from a model 1 mol % aqueous solution methanol for first time. Photocatalytic measurements were performed both bare samples their composites Pt nanoparticles as cocatalyst using an advanced scheme,...

New organic–inorganic hybrids have been synthesized by the intercalation of n-alkylamines (methylamine, ethylamine, n-propylamine, n-butylamine, n-hexylamine, and n-octylamine) into structure protonated hydrated form perovskite-like layered titanate H2K0.5Bi2.5Ti4O13·H2O (HKBT4·H2O). The possibility synthesis hybrid materials was studied in a wide range conditions. It found that interlayer water plays crucial role formation intercalated hybrids. obtained compounds were characterized with...

In the present work, we report results on exfoliation and coating formation of inorganic–organic hybrids based layered perovskite-like bismuth titanate H2K0.5Bi2.5Ti4O13·H2O that could be prepared by a simple ion exchange reaction from Ruddlesden–Popper phase K2.5Bi2.5Ti4O13. The were synthesized intercalation reactions. Exfoliation into nanosheets was performed for starting hydrated protonated derivatives intercalated n-alkylamines to study influence preliminary efficiency. selected...

The use of perovskite-type layered oxide K2La2Ti3O10 (Per) as a modifier the Torlon® polyamide-imide (PAI) membrane has led to formation an specific structure dense nonsymmetrical film, namely, thin perovskite-enriched layer (3–5 μm) combined with polymer matrix (~30 μm). PAI/Per was studied by SEM in combination energy dispersive microanalysis elemental composition which illustrated different compositions top and bottom surfaces perovskite-containing membranes. Measurement water alcohol...

The effect of isovalent cation substitution lanthanum atoms in the structure La2SrAl2O7 oxide, and phase equilibria (solidus-liquidus curves) binary system La2SrAl2O7-Nd2SrAl2O7 were studied. It was found that Nd3+ for La3+ has on respect character distribution solid solution La2–xNdxSrAl2O7 from statistically disordered to ordered one where strontium cations predominantly occupied rock-salt layers, as reflected by solidus-liquidus lines.

Nanosheets of layered perovskite-like oxides attract researchers as building blocks for the creation a wide range demanded nanomaterials. However, Ruddlesden–Popper phases are difficult to separate into nanosheets quantitatively via conventional liquid-phase exfoliation procedure in aqueous solutions bulky organic bases. The present study has considered systematically relatively novel and efficient approach high-yield preparation concentrated suspensions perovskite nanosheets. For this,...
