A measurement of direct photon production in ${}^{208}\mathrm{Pb}{+}^{208}\mathrm{Pb}$ collisions at $158A$ GeV has been carried out the CERN WA98 experiment. The invariant yield photons central is extracted as a function transverse momentum interval $0.5<{p}_{T}<4\mathrm{GeV}/c$. significant signal, compared to statistical and systematical errors, seen ${p}_{T}>1.5\mathrm{GeV}/c$. result constitutes first observation ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. It could be for diagnosis...

Background In many countries, sex work is criminalized, driving underground and leaving workers vulnerable to a number of occupational health safety risks, including violence, assault, robbery. With the advent widely accessible information communication technologies (ICTs), have begun use electronic tools mitigate these risks. Objective This study aims explore ICTs by for managing risks strategies reducing paper answer following question: what known about workers’ in delivery strategies?...

Two-particle correlations of direct photons were measured in central 208Pb+208Pb collisions at 158A GeV. The invariant interferometric radii extracted for 100<K(T)<300 MeV/c and compared to from charged pion correlations. yield soft photons, K(T)<300 MeV/c, was the correlation strength theoretical calculations.

Event-by-event fluctuations in the multiplicities of charged particles and photons, total transverse energy 158AGeV Pb+Pb collisions are studied for a wide range centralities. For narrow centrality bins multiplicity distributions found to be near perfect Gaussians. The effect detector acceptance on has been demonstrated follow statistical considerations. dependence particle measured data agree reasonably well with those obtained from participant model. However, photons have lower compared...

The production of neutral pions in 158AGeV Pb+Pb collisions has been studied the WA98 experiment at CERN SPS. Transverse momentum spectra are for range 0.3 GeV/c < mT-m0 4.0 GeV/c. results central compared to various models. centrality dependence pion spectral shape and yield is investigated. An invariance a simple scaling with number participating nucleons observed centralities greater than about 30 which most naturally explained by assuming an equilibrated system.

Several hadronic observables have been studied in central $158A \mathrm{GeV}$ Pb+Pb collisions using data measured by the WA98 experiment at CERN: single ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ production, as well two- three-pion interferometry. The Wiedemann-Heinz hydrodynamical model has fitted to pion spectrum, giving an estimate of temperature transverse flow velocity. Bose-Einstein correlations between two identified analyzed a function ${k}_{T},$ different...

Neutral pion transverse momentum spectra were measured in p+C and p+Pb collisions at sqrt[S{NN}]=17.4 GeV midrapidity (2.3 less than or approximately equal eta{lab} 3.0) over the range 0.7 p{T} 3.5 GeV/c. The are compared to pi{0} Pb+Pb sqrt[S{NN}]=17.3 same experiment. For a wide of centralities (N{part} 300), yield pi{0}'s with greater 2 GeV/c is larger consistent yields scaled number nucleon-nucleon (N{coll}), while for central N{part}greater 350, suppressed.

Neutral pion production in central 158AGeV Pb+Pb collisions has been studied the WA98 experiment at CERN SPS. The pi0 transverse mass spectrum analyzed terms of a thermal model with hydrodynamic expansion. high accuracy and large kinematic coverage measurement allow to limit previously noted ambiguities extracted freeze-out parameters. results are shown be sensitive shape velocity distribution freeze-out.

Sex workers may use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a means to mitigate occupational health safety (OHS) risks by exchanging harm reduction techniques (e.g., screening) on blogs social media. ICTs can also assist sex in creating online communities, where community members act each other’s check-ins, an additional technique. In Canada, there is paucity of research around ICT usage for managing safety. The objective this study was qualitatively examine the needs preferences...
